We cross the threshold today from the season of emergence into the season of letting go.

The autumn equinox teaches us to live in the sacred mystery of the now and the not-yet.

Life moves from being fully expressed to turning inward. Going quiet. Returning to stillness.

The leaves fall. Plants die back. The landscape becomes quieter.

And there’s something humbling about witnessing this shift and understanding that life isn’t a linear push toward production.

It also moves toward less.

Toward stillness.
Toward release.
Toward rest.
Toward the unknown.

Maybe part of why we are so burned out is that we’ve forgotten how to live in seasons.

We keep trying to live in an everlasting summer—always growing, producing, reaching, becoming, doing.

We are not designed to operate in that way.

Darkness isn’t simply the absence of light. It creates a different kind of space.

A sacred in-between where we begin to let go of what was and prepare for what will be.

This is the threshold.

The sacred mystery of the now and the not-yet.

How are you honoring this natural cycle in your life?
