Sweet Soft Skin Handmade Soaps

Here is what the bars of Midnight Blooms look like. I love the pretty colors on top and the deep colors go so well with the dusky floral violet scent. This one is very pleasant indeed and a great floral soap!

Here are the photos of the latest batch of Oatmeal Milk and Honey soaps and Strawberry Fields soaps. These scents are both currently available in the shop.

Taking advantage of the rainy day keeping the kids entertained to make some shampoo bars. I made some Lime and some Cantaloupe shampoo bars because I am totally a fruity shampoo person.

Here is a new soap that will be coming soon: Moonlight Blooms. The scent is mostly dark and sultry violet and smells like cool, earthy evening flowers. I had fun making the different dark flowers to decorate the top of this one. The inspiration was a flower garden with only silvery moonlight to illumine the blooms as the scent of flowers filled the cool night air.

It has been pretty nice to take the Summer off from social media and most soap making for the Etsy shop this past Summer and still post orders and have a freed up mind and hands for doing stuff with the kids and just resting. I did plan to take the soap making break because the heat of Summer in AZ makes it less enjoyable to make soaps as well as making it more work to avoid said batches from overheating so I made ahead as much as I could in the months before break. Here is one of the last soaps I made, Strawberry Patch that you can find in the Etsy shop right now.

I have been working with my daughter to add another aspect to Sweet Soft Skin, namely a section featuring Susan's Crochet Creations! My daughter loves to crochet and see the joy that kids get from her handmade snuggle buddies so she has worked hard and we have added a lot of cool turtles and whales to the shop. She is working on completing a big batch of cute chickens (these were a big hit at an event she did) and so those are coming soon. Shop Update today! We added Cherry Basket, Succulent Garden, and more Chrism soaps to the shop. I also want to highlight the Cherry Berry Sparkler for some 4th of July themed fun. It is getting close enough to the 4th that and am starting to get excited to celebrate 250 years! Pretty cool and since I will be fairly on in years if I make to the 300th, I am looking for ways to make this year special.

Cotton Candy Soaps! This fragrance accelerates a little and does not like the heat, so I mixed up this double batch as two single batches. The second one was finished 30 min after the first and you can see the discoloration caused by the fragrance has already started to fade from the first batch.
