It’s easy to hate on selfies and think they’re only for the self-obsessed.

Maybe you don’t take many photos because you think selfies are silly. But a study from the University of Ohio and the University of Tubingen in Germany shows selfies can be more than just a way to show off your looks.
The study found that selfies can help capture moments’ deeper meaning and document physical experiences.

So grab a loved one and take a selfie 🤳

King Charles Ill “THE GREEN KING” Diagnosed With Cancer

I’m so saddened by this news. Wishing the King quick recovery.

King Charles was always something of a pioneer of green issues and has been using his public platform to raise awareness for over 50 year King Charles III put the climate crisis on the agenda in the 70s, created an organic estate and even has sustainable wardrobe.

The King has also been president of the WWF-UK animal charity since 2011, a role he took on from his late father, Prince Philip.

In November 2020, his charity The Prince’s Foundation also supported a collection of eco-responsible clothing designed by upcoming Italian designers, in collaboration with the Yoox Net-A-Porter retail platform

King Charles III has sealed his credentials as a committed environmentalist and earned his title of ‘The Green King.’

We all can agree that it's true that 'you are what you eat!!

Get ready for an in-depth examination of the connection between food and mental health, gut health, chronic disease, and the moral and environmental implications of our eating choices.

In this series identical twins participate in a scientific experiment conducted by STANFORD lasting eight weeks (one of the reasons why my life changing program is 9 weeks) during which they are either fed a plant-based diet (VEGAN)) or a traditional meat-and-dairy but much healthier than SAD DIET (STANDARD AMERICAN DIET) that include vegetables and fruit and both groups exercised.

The twins’ physical and mental changes are methodically documented and are being attentively observed by scientists. The results not to my surprise had HUGE effects on weight, energy levels, s*x drive, reverse of aging and EVEN 🧬 DNA !!!!!

They also have lots of coverage around many of the things we know about like animal agriculture, climate effects, plant-based (VEGAN) alternatives to animal meat and dairy, etc….

The documentary features star turns from vegan cheese queen Miyoko Schinner, Eric Leroy Adams Mayor of NY , Impossible Foods founder Pat Brown, three-Michelin-starred chef Daniel Humm (of Eleven Madison Park fame), US senator Cory Booker, public health nutritionist Tracye McQuirter, Clean Disruption author Tony Seba, alt-meat company Prime Roots founder Kimberlie Le, Wicked Kitchen co-founder Chad Sarno.

A must WATCH!!!!

PS: I will post more of the EYE 👁️ OPENING RESULTS.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 🎃

Growing up in Poland 🇵🇱 we never celebrated HALLOWEEN 🎃. And throughout all my life I always did not particularly "loved" Halloween. Because in Poland we celebrate Dzien Wszystkich Swietych (All Saints Day) both celebrations are so different. All Saints Day in Poland, a day when people in Poland visit graves of their loved ones and friends who have already sadly passed away( I used to go with my parents to WITOMINO in Gdynia to my mama’s Family Mausoleum) we would reminisce about them, pray for them and light candles and bring beautiful flowers that remind me of that magical time gigantic herbaciane- chryzantemy (tea chrysanthemums ) in intention showing respect and honour .
You would also light a candle on someone's (unknown) grave or leave it flaming together with thousands of other candles left in intention of the unknown, or people who's graves couldn't be found. By nightime, the graves are covered with flowers and candles. This makes it for very beautiful, peaceful and a MAGICAL (not scary at all) atmosphere I LOVE this tradition.

Living in America 🇺🇸 in past few decades I learned to enjoy Halloween Fun celebrations. Children and adults dress in costumes and attending parties, visiting haunted houses, and eat (vegan for me) candy.
Taking kids "trick-or-treating," going door-to-door and collecting candy was always fun experience.
I'm so glad l'm able to celebrate and take from both cultures.

Ps: 2 Polish dancers. My sweetest Olenika

Does diet affect stress?

YES - DIET PLAYS A HUGE ROLE in how we experience
stress.

Whole -plant-based diet are associated with lower stress, anxiety, and depression. Foods like fruit, vegetables, grains, legumes, seeds, nuts, green tea, sea vegetables are high in nutrients that help your body with stress reduction.

Meanwhile, eating a lot of highly processed foods that are high in added sugars, refined grains, meat 🥩- saturated fats, coffee, energy drinks is linked to higher cortisol levels.

When experiencing stress, people often crave foods that are higher in fat and sugar “comfort food” (I will post delicious stress reducing recipes from my up-coming RawTasha Pharmacy cookbook remember FOOD IS MEDICINE).
These cravings for highly processed foods are due to increased CORTISOL LEVELS. Sometimes stress can even create a feeling of decreased motivation to take care of our body (our only true home.

Stress triggers the hypothalamus region at the base of your brain, which sends off hormonal and nerve warning signals throughout your body. As a result, your adrenal glands release cortisol and adrenaline.

Over time, chronic stress can lead to high blood pressure, sleep problems, headaches, gut problems, trouble concentrating, anxiety, depression, and an increased risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke.

Ps: I will write more about natural stress management in this collective stressful times we dealing now. I hope it can help some of us.

NOT SO FORBIDDING RICE 🍚

Cholesterol Lowering Cauliflower

Food is Medicine from RawTasha Pharmacy Cookbook

“Let thy food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”
Hippocrates (400 BC)

Cauliflower is SUPERFOOD It contains some of almost every nutrient vou need! It's rare that a single food can cover nearly every one of your body's nutritional needs but cauliflower does just that.

Almost every client I talk to is on statins (cholesterol reducing drug) But nature gives us natural medicine like cauliflower that is high in choline, an essential nutrient that MOST people are DEFICIENT in. Choline helps prevent cholesterol from accumulating in the liver and protect the liver from damage due to alcohol. Choline deficiency may increase the risk of liver disease and neurological disorders like Alzheimer's.

1 tsp sesame oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 carrots, peeled and diced
1/2–1 tsp red pepper flakes, to taste
1 large or 2 small head of cauliflower, riced (1080 g, approx. 10 cups riced)
4 green onions, diced
1 cup of edamame
3 tbsp tamari or Bregs aminos
Himalayan salt and pepper, to taste
1 avocado 🥑
1 cup of chopped greens (kale, spinach or your favorite green vegetable 🥬)
2 teaspoons of lime

INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the stem and leaves (but don’t throw away cut them in small pieces add to a dish later) from a head of cauliflower. Cut or break into chunks . Add the chunks to a food processor and pulse a few times until the consistency resembles rice. Set aside until you’re read to add it to the pan. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat then add the sesame oil and briefly heat. Add the garlic and stir for 1-2 minutes. Add the carrots, leaves and stems from cauliflower (they are nutritious power house) , season with Himalayan salt and pepper, and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften, stirring occasionally. Add all the other vegetables and tamari sauce. Cook for about 6-8 minutes until the cauliflower is tender, stirring often.

Serve immediately topped with more green onions, sesame seeds or cashews, slices of avocado and my HOT CHICA SAUCE.

Smacznego

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, Who's the Fairest of Them All?

Teddy Roosevelt once said, “Comparison is the thief of joy.”

Even the most confident woman has doubts about herself from time to time.
We're bombarded with images of aspirational women from social media and marketers, which can make even the most secure, happy woman feel inadequate.

But we should celebrate our uniqueness. Every woman has her uniqueness and different personality. Some women like to dress up, some love shopping and some hate it. Each woman has a different taste in music, food, we all are different shapes. We all have unique style, personality and tastes.

Celebrate the uniqueness of each person you are with! Today, we all live on this planet together and we should be respectful of each other. We should not make fun of others for their appearance or the choices they make about their life and lifestyle. We need to respect each other as human beings so that we can all live together in peace with mutual love and respect.

HOT AND SOUR DETOX SOUP
(Parzybroda) Cabbage- Sweet Potato 🍠 Soup 🍲

Food is medicine from RawTasha Pharmacy Cookbook
"Let thy food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food"
Hippocrates (400 BC)

Cabbage contains a chemical called sulforaphane, which helps the body fight against toxins. Cabbage also supplies the body with glutathione; an antioxidant that helps improve the detoxifying function of the liver.

Sweet potato often get overlooked because they’re so common, cheap and accessible. But sweet potato happens to be a master at removing the heavy metals we’re exposed to each day. The incredible thing about plants is that they’re hurting from environmental toxin exposure just as much as we are – and they’re able to respond by forming compounds that shield not only them, but us as well when we ingest them.
In response to the presence of heavy metals in soil and air, sweet potatoes produce peptide substances called phytochelatins. When we consume these phytochelatins, they bind to the heavy metals within our bodies (such as cadmium, copper, mercury and lead) and safely remove them via the digestive tract.
The phytochelatins in sweet potato interact with the mineral sulfur (which helps with liver detoxification) in order to complete this process.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
4-5 large ripe tomatoes 🍅 chopped
1 medium head green cabbage (about 2 pounds), thinly sliced
3 medium carrots, peeled and cubed
1 sweet potatoes peeled & cubed
2 bay leafs
2 -3 cups of water
1 teaspoons of lemon juice
2 teaspoons of Himalayan salt and more to taste
4-5 dashes of Bregs aminos
2-3 dashes of cayenne pepper 🌶️
2-3 dashes of Spanish paprika
1/4 cup chopped fresh dill or parsley

Sauté the onion, garlic, till golden brown add cabbage sauté till slightly browned. Add carrots and sweet potato. Let it “sweat” for 10 min. Vitomix or blend tomatoes with water. Add to a pot. Add all the herbs and spices. Bring to a boil and adjust the heat to a simmer. Cover with a lid and simmer until the sweet potatoes are fully cooked and tender about 30 min.
Garnish with herbs

“The greatest illusion in this world is the illusion of separation.” — Albert Einstein.

We all are mourning and are in disbelief what is happening in the world today. The unbelievable pain and loss seemingly endless conflict around us, and then we can remember Helen Keller’s words, “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.” For as long as there have been examples of divisiveness, there have been instances of the overcoming and healing of it.

In this moment in history we are all in need of cultivating access to our “Wise Selves “and our ultimate wholeness and connectedness – to give up what Einstein called the illusion of separateness – in order to help acknowledge and heal the complex divisions in our 🌎 world.

“In separateness lies our world"s great misery; in compassion lies our world's true strength". Once said the Buddha. Once was taught by Jesus. One was demonstrated by Krishna.

❤️🙏 “ Never Again”

My story

My journey first started over 30 years ago, back in dark ages of vegetarianism and veganism in Poland during communism.

I always cared about my body – I started dancing at very young age. At age 11, I suddenly became very sick. To this day, no one knows what was wrong with me. I was throwing up blood non-stop and ended up in the hospital for 6 months. Nothing worked. Finally, my mother took me to a professor of medicine who put me on a 21 day fast of only flax seed tea. I was healed! He also gave me my first health book, “Back to Eden” by Jethro Kloss. That’s what started me on my health quest. At this time, I felt like I was the only person on the planet who was juicing and eating mostly fresh fruits and vegetables. I began reading anything I could find on health and holistic medicine.

When I was just 17, I came to the United States and started my modeling career. My mom, once a beautiful slender woman, had become obese already at very young age. She succumbed to illness, but her influence forever changed the way I treat my body. In America, over time I transitioned from vegetarianism to veganism and eventually to a raw vegan diet. On my journey, I met several influential teachers. Karyn Calabrese, Dr. Ann Wigmore, Dr. Gabriel Cousens, Viktor Kulvinskas, Dr. Walker were just a few who I studied with.

Holistic nutrition made such a huge impact on my health that I started sharing my knowledge with anyone who would listen. Eventually, I built a business around vegan food and detoxification, and RawTasha was born! I feel fortunate to have been lead down this path. I never get sick, most people think I look 15 years younger than I am, and I have the energy of a 20 year old. I never struggle with my weight, never have taken any medication or visited a doctor. So what is the secret to my near-perfect health? I eat raw and living food every day and detox my body regularly. I promise you, though, I’m not special. Better health and natural beauty is within everyone’s reach as soon as we realize we have to feed our bodies the right fuel. We all have the power within us to enjoy optimum health.
