🌿 BOOKS OPEN | DSM, IA 👉🏾 Guest Spot at July 8th-11th & August 24th-29th

🖤 How to book| Please review my website ( link in bio) and look at my full portfolio. And then read my policies. I do have strict policies in place to ensure I’m spending my time with those committed and reliable to investing time with me at every guest spot. Because I can only take on so many clients. And my time is limited in each city. Please ensure your lifestyle, scheduling and financial investment are aligned as well. * You do not have to live in the city I am guest spotting at. My clients travel in from coast to coast * If a specific city is easier to travel to. I’d love to see you while I’m there. 💕

👉🏾 I ONLY use my online booking. If you fill out a custom request form. You will receive a response through my Jotform reply. It is a long form on purpose. It helps me really understand in advance the request. And it helps keep my process simple and efficient. You will receive a link to book only from my online booking through the form. 👉🏾 PLEASE be diligent in ensuring to check for scams, spam and phishing emails.❤️ this is my only tattoo account on all social platforms. I do my best to have a system in place to try and make things easy and safe to book. ❤️ I will never ask you to pay through another method unless you’re a long term client and we’ve already discussed an appointment.

🌿 If you have questions please review my website first. I’m still working on adding a booking guide. But all my pricing and info is very transparent. I am full-time traveling artist. I work very non-traditionally to “industry norms”. This is my livelihood please respect my time and energy. If my rates or process aren’t a fit for your lifestyle. I’m probably not the best fit for your tattoo. And that’s okay! I would rather you find an artist that fits your needs. Than not book the tattoo. If booking isn’t in your budget right now. I always super appreciate referrals to friend and family!

❤️ Thank you to everyone that has booked, travelled and supported my art online and offline for 6 years now tattooing. I’m extremely grateful and thankful for the support.

🌙 Over the years I’ve been working on my Fineline skills. Being self taught on skin. It took years and lots of repetition. And really awesome returning clients. Seeing healed work is so important to tattooing.

A lot of trad artists s**t on Fineline, not all. And some can even admit they can’t do it. And a lot of that comes down to the mentality or not enough practice. I personally consider anything over a 3rl Fineline work. I don’t consider a 5rl Fineline work. Now with that being said that’s completely different than a style.

So as a client it’s important to research styles, just like you would any genre of book or movie.

Over the years I’ve shifted into more bolder work. Using larger needle groupings. And honestly kept resisting going back to Fineline pieces. But as I am more knowledgeable and have worked with many really wonderful clients that have shared backgrounds and stories. It’s changed my mind.

I started using Fineline needles truly because of using a henna cone for a decade. That skillset is what taught me how to float my needle and my hand positioning for more stability. I then started pottery and it was a great way to learn even more control and stability. While also keeping my hand light and airy.

While I don’t post as much Fineline work anymore. I will be putting a page on my website up with a portfolio there.

Over the years I’ve had many artists ask if I would apprentice them or do a one on one session. I’ve always turned them down or said no. With my health making me have to slow down a lot. I’ve decided to take mentor sessions. *** AND I want to make it very clear that this is NOT for someone who wants a quick fix into tattooing. I heavily vet people I want to work with. But I also acknowledge there are many more artists popping up in the metro with no experience working in a shop before. Or have worked in shops but were not properly trained or even taught. Or never learned proper setup, BBP and sanitation. If you are interested I will have a page on my website with more info on how to book this with me. 💕

Larger line healed 2 months? I think. The smaller design is from my South Asian Collection healed 3 years. Blackouts and shading are fresh. 🖤 Always a joy to see ya’ll after many years.

Often times with body work we need breaks. For various reasons. As much as I love seeing ya’ll annually or quarterly or whenever you can come back in. When I started tattooing I truly didn’t think I would have returning clients 🫣😂 As I’m not heavily tattooed. But I always have had many regulars with Mehndi over the years. Which makes made more sense to me because it’s ephemeral. Similar to more of a body service like nails or hair care.

I was reminded very kindly and thoughtful that what I’ve been building as a professional artist for 20 years has really been community. And I’ve accepted that I’ll never really fit into the “community” aspect in a traditional way. And especially in Iowa. And that’s okay. Ya’ll know where to find me. You always have. Having the opportunity to travel a lot even just regionally + within the Midwest has taught me a lot about spaces, energy, time and change.

This year will be a slower year in terms of travel. To be very transparent financially I’m not sure if traveling will be possible this year. And I also have some car repairs to get managed. The downside to that is I have work in progress on clients in MPLS, Chicago, KCMO and Omaha. Not only do I love traveling but I also try have a reciprocal relationship with my traveling clientele. I know that it’s a lot of investment and time. As well as those that book when I do guest spot. And that effort never goes unnoticed. ❤️

🌞Good morning! I have been having a couple technical setbacks with my website and will be needing to work on that today. So if you haven’t received a response from me that’s why. The website may be down periodically in the next 24hrs.

👉🏾 The booking link for my online booking specifically will be open still and you can use the link in bio. Or if you have a separate link you can use that.

👉🏾 I will also be working on getting my custom form back up as well today.

💕 Please note, I’m only one human. And I’m just now getting back on my feet. And feeling better to get back into tattooing hopefully more at a full-time pace again. Which I really haven’t been able to manage since 2020. My capacity is much different. And I’m not a traditional artist. I work at my own pace. Which for some is not “fast” enough. As far as responses and scheduling. Once I have my website completely updated. You should be able to go directly to it and know exactly how to book. 💕

💕 Books are open for Pleasant Hill. Please review my website . I’m working on updates currently. IG isn’t letting me add the address in my bio 🤔

I will be taking appointments at .flag.tattoo_ until the end of May during a trial period in this shop.

I’ve decided that during that time it will be easiest for me to not setup any guest spots. As I need a little break to have a regular routine for a while.

My rates are always lower in the metro. You do not have to live here to book here.

My goal is to finish up all existing large scale and freehand sessions.

Please note the ONLY way I accept bookings is through my online through my website. I do not have any guest spots currently lined up. I do NOT take deposits through social media, email or other payment forms like Venmo, Cash App ect. And this is to protect ya’ll. Phishing scams , bots , ect. Are just making it much harder to deal with booking these days.

Currently I am working within the shop hours. Tuesday I will be available for walk- ins when I don’t have appointments. ( with the exception of this Tuesday. Because I’m having a toenail removed ) . Otherwise I do prefer Thursday- Saturday be booked by appointment. And will post on my IG if I do have same day availability.

I will be participating in Friday The 13th and am running a special with my permanent collection of designs . And will be taking walk ins that day and running the same special as the shop. Any flash by the other artists I will tattoo as well.

I also am having my own 2 flash weekends of course in April + May that you can pre-book. Which is the only time my minimum is lower than $150.

My online booking has a new feature and I can now accept deposits and payments in full at the same time!

As always all payments are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-disputable. I do prefer to work with clients that are ready to get tattooed and committed to working with me.

If you’re interested in a custom tattoo please email me at raynaart.co at this time. And I will send you a direct link through my online booking specifically. Until I get my Jotform back up. Please please be weary of phishing emails and scams.

🌿 Clients scheduled THIS week. 👉🏾 Reminder you have received a text and have been rescheduled. Please check your spam folders for your new confirmation email. All appointments have been moved due to having strep.

🖤 While I’m on antibiotics and shouldn’t be contagious. I’m going to just cool my jets and try not to prolong this by resting and taking a short social media break. I delete all socials completely when doing this. I will be back online 8/2.

🖤Clients scheduled only in August if for any reason you need to get in touch please email me at [email protected]

🖤 I will be working on all other reschedules ( due to past surgeries ) / touchups / finishing sessions very soon to get you all on the calendar. And hopefully we can get you all in before the end of the year. To start with a clean slate in 2024 🖤🖤🖤 Thanks for your patience while I navigate all these unplanned medical breaks.
