🤩 TEENS NEEDED (Ages 13 to 17)

Our community showed up in a BIG way! 🫶🏽 Thank you to every family that has expressed interest in our Youth Hair Literacy Project. Because of your incredible support, all of our model spots for ages 5 to 12 have been filled! 🎉

We're now looking for our final group of teen models (ages 13 to 17) to help complete our project.

We're looking for teens to wear the following styles:

• Natural Curls (Curl Definition)
• Mini Twists
• Marley Twists
• Sleek Ponytail
• Locs

This photo project will provide real images for our guidebooks, workshops & educational materials that will be used to teach natural hair care & build confidence in children & families.

Models will receive:

• Professional Photography
• Healthy Hair Services
• Recognition as a C&C Youth Ambassador
• The opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping other youth see themselves represented!

We’re so excited to officially announce our Youth Hair Literacy Project!

We're looking for youth ages 5-17 to participate in a professional educational photoshoot that will help create culturally affirming resources for children, caregivers, educators, and families.

Boys & girls are invited to participate!

These images will be featured in:

📖 Future C&C publications

We're Looking For:

Ages 5 to 8

Ages 9 to 13
• Twist Out

Ages 14 to 17
• Mini Twists
• Marley Twists
• Boho Knotless Braids
• Sleek Ponytail

Required Wardrobe:

Selected participants will become C&C Youth Ambassadors, helping represent healthy natural hair in educational resources that will empower families for years to come.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of the VA Project LIFE Youth Conference this Spring 🌿

We had the chance to connect with so many amazing youth from across different regions, and the impact beautiful. From learning how to care for their own hair to expressing interest in turning these skills into future services or beauty products. The energy, curiosity, and entrepreneurship in the room was inspiring.

This work continues to prove that hair care is more than just maintenance — it’s confidence, identity, and opportunity.

I’m especially excited about what’s next. I look forward to building with Project LIFE and bringing Curls & Caregivers workshops to youth across all regions in the coming months.
