I did say I had a couple pairings for the new Alyssa Long yarn that I just know would be PERFECTION. Am I right? I think I’m right. Both Edison Bulb and Ken-ergy Tosh Silk Cloud were meant to be besties with it. Which would you chose and what would your or plans be with it?

Thanks to The Book Shelf we have OFFICIALLY hit the 200 books mark!! 🎉🎉 Not only are there new books but I even managed to add a couple more ones to the . Not too shabby if I do say so myself.

If you haven’t realized it yet, I’m a big fan of color. And this happy sock yarn from Alyssa Long qualifies as COLOR. Appropriately named Sixth Grade and it’s BRIGHT. Just wait til I show you a couple pairings that would be a blast for or together.

A bit ago I took a little road trip (actually, a loooooong road trip) and found myself stopping by YarNOLA. As any good fibery person does, I got souvenirs and that happened to include black light reactive happiness from Crys’ Coffin Dyes. Just a couple little guys. I finally put them to use yesterday and paired it with some other yarn I had. Last night was knitting night and someone just so happened to have a black light with them (big fan of uranium glass).

LOOK AT HOW AMAZING IT IS!!!!!! I knew the minis (cuffs, heels, and toes) would be awesome since I checked in the shop at the time of purchase but the main yarn was also a happy surprise.

If I haven’t made it clear yet, I’m a big fan of books. All of them. So much so I even have a library degree. BIG fan. You know who also loved books?

Dolly Parton. If you’ve never looked into her Imagination Library you are missing out. The impact they’ve had is just incredible (over 330 million books at this point). My area doesn’t have it available but you know what is?

Straight up, cuffed, smooshed down, or in a short sock…..you just can’t help but love Skylark Superwash from Yarnalia. Don’t be fooled by the ball size either. Despite making two pairs there’s still enough for at least one more short set!
