If the front of your hips are tight and you feel stuck in an arched, tilted posture, there’s a reason for it.When the hip flexors, re**us femoris, and the front capsule stiffen, they pull the thigh forward and make it hard for your spine and pelvis to stack the way they should.That’s why you feel “pulled” into that position even when you try to stand tall.To reverse it, you need three things working together:1. Loosen the front of the hipThis opens the tissues that tilt the pelvis forward and restrict hip extension.By restoring length in the iliopsoas and the capsule, you reduce the forward pull on the thigh, which immediately helps your spine come back into a more neutral position.2. Lengthen the re**us femorisThis muscle crosses both the hip and the knee.When it’s tight, it locks your thigh forward and prevents your pelvis from coming out of that “butt-out” posture.Getting this muscle to release frees up your entire front chain so the hip can move behind you again.3.
