In all seriousness, I’m actually demanding more softness and gentleness for Black girls and women.

We have ALL been conditioned. We are ALL being conditioned.

Confronting the conditioning creates space for truth and healing. For centuries, media has done an incredible job of dehumanizing Blackness.

And to sit at the intersection of Black and woman, is to be seen as less valuable on multiple accounts.

I know the harm is not always intentional, but that does not excuse the impact.

For my sake and yours.. Do the work!

Especially for a woman in her POWER!

Getting really comfortable advocating for myself and going after what I want. At times it may seem like the options being presented are the only ones that exist, but what happens when you push back on that, even just a bit…

What happens what you ask the question? Make a suggestion? Offer an alternative? YOU shift your reality. YOU create possibilities.

Now of course, you may not get what you want every single time… at least not immediately, but I think by just putting it out there you plant a seed. When you voice and act on your highest desire you magnetize aligned outcomes.

Do I wish someone else would hand all car related maintenance for me? Yes.

But do I trust myself to show up and get the job done with my best interest in mind? Also, very much yes.

God forbid a man has the intellect, processing skills and empathy necessary to understand just how violent he patriarchy is and the unique impact is has on women.

Baby I need my sisters like I need oxygen fr. I truly can’t stress enough how important it is to have safe, kind and loving women in your life that see YOU.

Like I truly wish this for women and girls so much! Having someone you can count on and be yourself with in an incredibly honest way. Your sister will really choose you in your most vulnerable state and just make you feel so loved and valued.

Women friendships are life saving. The end. 💁🏿‍♀️
