Prosthetic application with Pros-Aide — the basics.
A thin coat on both the skin and the prosthetic, careful placement, then firm pressure once everything is where you want it.
Simple steps, but getting them right makes a big difference.
One prosthetic. Nine completely different monsters.
This is BEAST, one of our foam latex prosthetics — and these nine looks show just how much the final character depends on the artist, the paint, the hair, and the imagination behind it.
Same piece. Totally different results.
What would YOU turn BEAST into?
HELLRAISER makeup fun with
I had such a blast turning Maddie into a female Pinhead-inspired character for the GirlsPlayPix team.
I’ve done a lot of complicated prosthetic makeup over the years, but this was my first time tackling this particular look — and I was excited by the challenge. Between the prosthetic work, the grid, the pins, the paint, and all the little finishing details, there was a lot going on.
Maddie was terrific to work with, and the whole crew made the day incredibly fun.
More from this makeup coming soon.
From this… to THIS. 🧙♀️
A foam latex prosthetic, makeup, hair, and a little character work can completely change a face.
This is one of my favorite kinds of transformation — watching the appliance disappear and the character take over.
How to hide a foam latex prosthetic edge — Method #2
This technique uses a thickened adhesive to smooth the transition, adds texture before it dries, then uses makeup and subtle color to help camouflage the edge.
There are several ways to do this — this is just one of them.
The goal: make the edge disappear.
Halloween is getting close… which creature are YOU?

Quick prosthetic tip: hide the edge.
One way to soften a visible foam latex edge is to stipple a small amount of adhesive along the transition, then powder once dry to take away the tackiness.
This is just one of many techniques — we’ll be showing more application and makeup methods throughout October.
CLOWNS IN THE WILD 🤡
Meet — longtime Scream Team customers, Las Vegas favorites, and proof that the right prosthetic in the right hands can become a whole character.
They’ve been using Scream Team pieces for more than 10 years, and we’re proud to see what they continue to create.
We make the pieces. They make the trouble.
From face to Hellacious.
Our HELLACIOUS foam latex prosthetic is the starting point — then makeup, character, and attitude bring it to life.
We make the pieces. You make the monsters.
Which part of the transformation do you want to see more of next: application, edge work, or makeup?
What you don’t see at Fright Fest…
Before the monsters hit the streets, there’s a whole lot of prosthetics, makeup, paint, prep, and organized chaos happening behind the scenes.
After more than 30 years of helping make monsters for Fright Fest, this is still one of my favorite parts of the process.
Somebody has to make them. That’s where we come in.
