A soundbed is a therapeutic device that combines sound and physical vibration, known as vibroacoustic therapy, to help the body and nervous system relax.
• Vibroacoustic Stimulation: Built-in tactile transducers convert low-frequency sound waves (20–200 Hz) into physical vibrations that travel through your body.
• Audio & Headphones: You lie on the bed, wear headphones or listen to built-in high-fidelity speakers, and stream music or guided tracks from the inHarmony Music Meditations app.
• Nervous System Response: The synchronized sound and physical pulse encourage the body to shift out of a stress state and drop into a deep, parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state. Sessions typically last 22 to 33 minutes.
Sometimes, the sound bed at The Sanctuary is used in conjunction with other therapies; your treatment is catered to you.

The gong is among the oldest continuously used instruments in human history. A single strike on a gong can contain dozens of interacting frequencies. The surface of the gong responds differently depending on where and how it’s touched (speed of attach, material and mass of your playing implements matter).
The gong's origins can be traced back to ancient East Asia, where it played a significant role in various cultural and spiritual practices. In ancient China, gongs were used in rituals and ceremonies, believed to aid in channeling energy and connecting with the divine. Similarly, in Southeast Asia, gongs were an integral part of indigenous healing rituals, believed to restore balance and harmony within individuals and communities.
Scientific studies have shed light on the neurological effects of gong therapy, further validating its healing potential. When played, the gong produces a complex range of harmonics and overtones that stimulate the auditory system, activating different areas of the brain. This auditory stimulation has been found to induce a state of deep relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety. Moreover, the gong's sound waves synchronize brainwaves, promoting a meditative state and enhancing overall well-being. These neurological effects highlight the gong's ability to positively impact the mind and body.
Beyond its neurological effects, the gong's healing properties can also be attributed to its spiritual resonance and vibrational healing. The gong's deep, resonant tones are believed to pe*****te the body's energetic field, unblocking stagnant energy and promoting the free flow of vital life force. This vibrational healing is grounded in the principle that everything in the universe is in a constant state of vibration. By exposing individuals to the gong's vibrations, it is believed that the body's natural healing mechanisms can be activated, leading to physical, emotional, and spiritual restoration.

What Is an Ionic Foot Detox?
An ionic foot detox is a non-invasive wellness therapy designed to support relaxation, circulation, and the body’s natural detox processes.
Ionic foot detox has become one of the most talked-about wellness therapies because people are feeling overwhelmed in their bodies. We are living in a world of constant exposure—environmental toxins, chronic stress, inflammatory foods, poor sleep, and nonstop stimulation of the nervous system. Many individuals, including children and athletes, are carrying a toxic and stress load their bodies were never designed to handle alone.
Unfortunately, foot detox is often surrounded by confusion, exaggeration, or fear-based claims. Some see it as a miracle cure, while others dismiss it entirely. It is not a cure-all, and it is not meant to replace the body’s natural detox organs. Rather, it is a supportive wellness tool—one that works best when used thoughtfully and as part of a larger integrative care plan.
During a session, your feet are placed in warm water while introducing a gentle electrical current. The current does not pass through the body. This process ionizes the water, meaning that the water molecules become electrically charged, creating an environment that supports circulation, relaxation, and neurological calming.
The feet are uniquely suited for this type of therapy—they are rich in nerve endings, blood vessels, and reflexive connections that communicate directly with the brain and body.
Patients commonly report sensations such as deep relaxation, gentle warmth, mild tingling, or an overall sense of calm during a session. Many feel their breathing slow, their thoughts quiet, and their bodies soften. This is not accidental. Ionic foot detox sessions often have a powerful calming effect on the nervous system, helping shift the body out of fight-or-flight and into a rest-and-repair state where healing processes function more efficiently.
Hydration is an important part of the experience. Drinking water before and after a session helps support circulation and lymphatic movement. We also encourage patients to rest and listen to their bodies afterward. Detox support should never feel depleting—it should feel supportive, grounding, and restorative.
When understood properly, ionic foot detox can play a meaningful role in helping the body feel calmer, lighter, and more supported—especially in individuals who are already overwhelmed.

Today's DAILY DEAL: BOGO free on Palm stones! In shop only!
Broom history and folklore:
Brooms are a symbol of good luck around the world. They sweep away bad fortune and protect against evil.
🧹Lay a broom across your threshold on New Year’s Day to keep evil spirits at bay for the rest of the year.
🧹If a bride and groom jump over a broom together while holding hands, their marriage will be blessed with good fortune.
🧹For good luck, always buy a new broom when you move into a new house.
🧹It is bad luck to rest a broom on its bristles.
🧹It is good luck to rest a broom on its handle.
🧹To make sure your meal is good, lay a broom under your dining room table while cooking.
🧹A broom laid under your bed sweeps away all bad dreams.
🧹If a visitor is overstaying his welcome, stand a broom up behind the door of the room in which he’s being entertained. He will soon grow uncomfortable and leave.
🧹To bring rain within three days, dip a broom into a bucket of water into which a dried fern has been crumbled and then hold the broom aloft, shaking the water out to simulate rainfall.
🧹The phrase “flying off the handle” comes from broom lore. When a woman would get frustrated trying to chase her children out of the kitchen so she could finish with the cooking, a swat from the broom was a last resort, sending the straw flying off the handle and across the room.
🧹The phrase “living over the brush” refers to a common-law relationship, and dates back to Europe in the 19th century when a couple would jump the broom to signify marriage if they could not afford a wedding.
🧹A new broom brings good luck and harmony to a home. A broom, salt, and bread completes a traditional housewarming gift:
💜🧹Bread – That this house may never know hunger.
💜🧹Salt – That life may always have flavor.
💜🧹Broom – To sweep away troubles.

What exactly happens during a sound bath, and why does it have such a profound effect on our physical and emotional well-being?
At its core, sound is a form of energy that travels through air and other mediums. When these vibrations enter the body, they interact with our cells and tissues in complex ways. Research has shown that these interactions can influence both our physical and emotional states.
Cellular Resonance: The concept of cellular resonance suggests that our cells respond to external vibrations. Sound baths often utilize instruments that produce these healing frequencies, potentially enhancing cellular health and promoting relaxation.
Brainwave Entrainment: Brainwave entrainment refers to the synchronization of brainwave frequencies with external rhythmic stimuli. Sound baths typically use a variety of instruments, such as singing bowls and gongs, which produce rhythmic patterns that can guide the brain into specific states.
Limbic System Activation: Sound therapy can directly influence the limbic system, promoting the release of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin. These chemicals are known for their mood-enhancing and stress-reducing effects, contributing to the emotional benefits of sound baths.
Emotional Release: The vibrational energy of sound can help release stored emotions and trauma. This process, often referred to as emotional detoxification, allows participants to confront and process deep-seated feelings.
Auditory Driving: Auditory driving is a phenomenon where rhythmic sound patterns drive the brain into altered states of consciousness. Modern research supports the idea that rhythmic sound can induce trance-like states, enhancing creativity, problem-solving, and introspection.
Neuroplasticity: Neuroplasticity refers to the brain's ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections. Sound therapy has been shown to stimulate neuroplasticity, potentially improving cognitive function and emotional resilience.
Intention Setting: The power of intention cannot be underestimated in the context of sound baths. Setting a clear intention for the session can amplify the therapeutic effects of the sound.
Kelly and myself work with Crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, wave drums, gongs, and chimes during our Sound Bath Immersion sessions. Each session lasts from 45 minutes to an hour, depending on how you are doing. You can either have a solo experience, bring a friend or have a group session. Come into The Sanctuary or text me for more information!
