What’s up Wednesday…

This weeks edition is really WHAT IS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY!
•
I now have a 16 year old.
•
I swear that little dude was just in the spa pushing his t***y out for me to give it a little rub.
•
Our birth story took a hard left and didn’t go the hypno water birth plan, so I was actually not awake when he exited the spa… but it seems not so long ago that as I woke up I heard his sweet sounds and said: bring him to me.
•
His toddler ways of only speaking in complete, full sentences. His random proclamation in the car one day that he wanted to play baseball. His joy riding his first motorcycle where you could hear him yell out in excitement. His work ethic. Sweet soul. Educational ease and expectation. Friendship. Love of animals. Emotional communication at pivotal life moments. Everything a son is!

Somehow we quickly got here. It’s fun. This is a fun time and even though I’m a little trippin… I’m so excited for you and this phase of life Kash anderson
•
You are the most fun and I’m so glad you are the soul I get to be the momma to! Extenda birthday was lots of fun! We can probably use another nap. And the house repairs after the weekend can wait until Saturday.
•
So if y’all see me in the wild and I have a look of bewilderment…you know why! My little hand holding, hug around my neck shadow has somehow turned into this sweet boy who is bigger, stronger, faster, looks like a grown young man, and now when we hug my head goes into his neck!
•
So yeah, I’ll just be walking around trippin with gratitude!

Happy Birthday to my favorite person.

The one who made me a momma. The one I think is just the best thing ever. The one I love all the way.

Birthday hangout weekend yielded 3 nights of sleepovers. Homecoming game. Park sesh. Beach day. Homecoming dance. After party. More hangout. Youth group. Bean bag wrestling. And a hole in the ceiling.

What else would happen at 16!

Sleepy 16 and almost 16 are still snoozing away. Then it’s off to the chiropractor, hopping into school work and topping this day off with family dinner.

So glad he is the one that came to take this journey with me. Happy Birthday Kash!!!

As we head out of September I realized, haven’t used this audio!
•
But today I just wanted to share some little lady love.
•
These girls are out doing their thing. I’ve been making some changes in the yard and of course that impacts their egg production. But I think the end result is they will love it.
•
In addition, the heat has impacted their production. I mean would you want to squeeze out an egg when it was 20° hotter than it should be for weeks on end!?!
•
Anyhow just wanted to show some love for those beauties and how cute is that chicken that I got as a porch fairy gift!
•
Reminder, if every house had 2 chickens, those terrible condition eggs farms wouldn’t exist anymore and there would be enough eggs that we would all eat FRESH unbleached eggs.

This is our final walk with a torn ACL!
•
From everything I read, we won’t be walking much for a while, other than the absolute necessary walks.
•
I pushed her surgery out three weeks so that her skin flareup could settle down and it has settled down nicely. So today we are off to get that ACL fixed.
•
I said the Kash the other day that I wondered if I should talk to the vet about a sedative for after surgery. And he asked what a sedative was so I explained. His response was I like Misty and her spay self! I said sure, but it would be great in her recovery if she was a bit more chill. Then he said oh just for recovery… I thought you meant forever.
•
That’s what it looks like in a house that the pets have more medication than the people 😆
•
We head out for her spa day at 8 AM. Please send this girl good thoughts for a quick, efficient, and perfect surgery. For ease of pain. For an easy, functional recovery. And any other things that you think would serve her well.
•

What’s up Wednesday.

I have a pending driver…he’s not in a rush and I am ok with that!
•
But when I really spend time thinking about it I have an interesting regression to when I was behind the wheel training.
•
A few months ago when the end of 15 was in our sights I was having a convo with my step mom about boy driving. That brought up back in the day when I learned to drive in the road.
•
She said “you were such a good driver and you did great, but you would get nervous about going to far in a parking. Pot and park short”.
•
Dude….
•
Everytime I have my head full of my boy is going to drive soon, I end up parking short!
•
Crazy ways our brain works. But there you have it.
•
Any regression things you’ve noticed when it comes time for your kids to hit a milestone?

I’ve been doing a project.
•
Over the last couple of weeks I’ve demoed the inside of my shed. I built it out the way it was probably close to 30 years ago.
•
With the clean slate came taking everything out. That part was ok. Until I got to paint.
•
That has been and will continue to be a process. I apparently spawn paint!
•
Anyhow, yesterday started the restock process. Round 2 of going through everything to see if my keep desire has changed over the last couple of weeks.
•
As well as changing up 2/3 of the floor plan and how I REALLY want things stored.
•
This cooler that I’ve known for what seems most of my life has a special spot. I built a little shelf so nothing could ever block it, touch it, hide it.
•
This cooler went everywhere we did when I was a kid. My dad’s cooler. Over the years I have stored things in it. But mostly it has been buried in a back corner. So that it wasn’t moved or disrupted.
•
But in the sorting process it was pretty much the only thing Kash cared about. So it earned a showcase spot.
•
This is just a reminder that be it closet kitchen, yard, wall… it’s ok to put something with personal value on display. To be seen and felt whenever you walk by it. Whenever you open the door.
•
Grandpa Bobs cooler will be seen every day. Twice a day! Because the chicken feed now lives in the shed too.
•
Sometimes we start a task for practicality and organization. Then it ends up being about love and sentiment.

Did you know I start holiday production in July? Crazy right!?!
•
This part of holiday production has finished and started in the last 24 hours.
One of the beautiful people in my life gifted me a handful of frozen cranberry bags as last season I really couldn’t get enough. So I freeze dried them.
•
Then the farm stand at Mt Everest Academy had some glorious organic rosemary. I captured some for myself to propagate new rosemary patches and I have some in the freeze dryer right now for their Farmstand.
•
What do you think I might have planned for holiday production with these beauties?

Expect the shape soap game to be strong for the next year. Not only are they cute. Decorative. Coordinating. But they get kids to use soap.

Actual SOAP, not detergent bars that are good for laundry that you buy in a big box store that are marketed as soap.

They are all priced by weight. And the bars… well they will make you happy!

It’s ok to buy them because they are pretty. It’s not ok to not use them because they are pretty. You deserve to use pretty things!
