I'm sorry to have two posts in a row. Ingvar Kamprad, IKEA founder died today. They are known for Scandinavian design, low-energy lighting, and to me one of the most important changes to the furniture world. They introduced the furniture store vignette. I have always spent a lot of energy trying to display my furniture in an engaging way. Thank you for everything.

Just got the news that Wendell Castle passed away. He was a huge inspiration for me, and his ghost clock (scroll right) was one of the first craft pieces that blew my head back. He will always be the master of laminating wood to me.

The last post of the year. This photograph seems to sums up who I am, a conservationist, an engineer, a designer, a craftsman, but most importantly a maker who is becoming more and more in tune with the makers who came before me. I look forward to closing out this wonderful year and seeing what the next one brings. Happy New Year!
