I’ve struggled with acne for as long as I can remember. After becoming an esthetician, my skin was the best it had ever been. I finally felt like I understood my skin and had it under control.

Until it wasn’t.

This past year, my acne came back full force, and I felt like I was back at square one. It was a particularly stressful year, which led me to really dig deeper and figure out what was going on with my own skin.

My own acne journey is a huge reason I became an esthetician, and it continues to teach me so much. I’m sharing this because I know how much acne can affect you. I know how frustrating and defeating it can feel.

My skin is still nowhere near perfect, but it is a reminder that acne isn’t a straight line.
