Today, we’re celebrating He Him Curtis McCann, better known as , a St. Louis food and lifestyle creator, chef, storyteller, and community voice.
He Him Curtis first made his mark through food, launching Catered by Curtis before opening Juanita’s Creole Soul Café in Dutchtown. Over time, he expanded his work beyond the kitchen, building the Eat, Drink, STL community and using his platform to spotlight local food, culture, and everyday St. Louis stories.
Through He Him Curtis, McCann continues to show the power of consistency, creativity, and authentic storytelling. His work connects community voices while reminding us that St. Louis has stories worth sharing and supporting.

Today, we’re celebrating The Bosman Twins, Dwayne and Dwight Bosman, internationally respected jazz musicians and masters of woodwind instruments.
The Bosman Brothers have built a powerful legacy as composers, arrangers, performers, and music educators. Through saxophone, flute, clarinet, and jazz performance, The Bosman Twins have carried St. Louis music onto stages near and far. Their sound, skill, and dedication continue to honor the city’s rich jazz history while inspiring future generations of musicians.

Today, we’re saluting Erion “Prop Man” Johnson, a St. Louis carpenter, contractor, mentor, and community builder.
After the May 16th tornado devastated parts of St. Louis, Erion "Propman Johnson" stepped up with action. Through his tiny-home initiative, he rallied local teens and young men to help build temporary homes for individuals and families who lost so much in the storm.
Johnson did more than deliver ideas and went right to work. Today, we honor Erion “Prop Man” Johnson for using his hands, his heart, and his skills to help rebuild St. Louis.
Fear and faith can't be in the same room.

Today, we’re celebrating Freeman Word, a St. Louis-based poet, educator, mentor, and community voice known as the People’s Poet.
Through spoken word, Freeman has used poetry as more than performance. He uses it as a tool for truth-telling, healing, education, and community connection. His voice reminds us that poetry can teach, challenge, inspire, and bring people closer to their own stories.
Today, we honor Freeman Word for using his gift to speak life, truth, and power into the community.
