This was our first session, and I’m so proud of the progress we made. We did a back to back sliced full highlight with tip outs. We also are working towards getting rid of the band from a previous bleaching tone. I used seven volume to make sure it was super gentle 🤎

End of an era 💔
As much as I love this color, I have to confess… it was too much damn work. Here’s what I learned this past year:
Every day, every light, every wash it’s a different shade. If you want the exact color you left the salon with, you’d have to tone it every single wash (and who wants to do that? Absolutely not).
My hair hates holding onto color — unless it’s a color I don’t like, then it grabs it happily.
I had to wash my hair less than I wanted just to slow the fading. Overall, it was just too much.
I realized I’m a low-maintenance hair color girly and don’t want to stress over something as simple as washing my hair. No matter what I did, the color was always fading.
If you’re thinking about a color like this and made it through this whole post, just remember: it’s A LOT. And if a hairstylist with all the resources is saying that… I’m not kidding.
