A few days before Christmas, in 2005, we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl that we named Emerson DuRay.
Although I’ve always been a “girlie-girl” I never knew how “girlie” I would become. Dressing my new little girl in beautiful dresses and the cutest outfits never looked complete until the perfect bow was added. Luckily, Em dealt with having the bows in her hair and eventually even picked out her coordinating bow for the day. Two and half years later Em was excited to be a big sister. On a very war
m day in July we were all blessed with another beautiful baby girl that we named Rowan Via. Although Ro is the complete opposite of Em, she too is accepting of her hair bows and loves to get dressed up with coordinating outfits and bows with her big sister. em&ro was named after my daughters Emerson and Rowan who are the inspiration behind all the bows I create. Through the years, I have spent a lot of time searching for bows that coordinate with every outfit my girls own but have never been completely satisfied with what the stores offer. With two girls I found it easier to make my own, this way I would have the freedom of color, size, and style. Once the girls started wearing my bows regularly I noticed quite a few moms and grand moms commenting where I bought the bows. My husband immediately commented “my wife makes them.” It wasn’t long after that we were making business cards and my entire family was spreading the word.
