When the color is blended and soft when coming in, but it’s just time for a refresh! Balayage is meant to last months and grow out softly, leaving maintenance to a minimum. It’s coming in every 3-4 months versus every 8 weeks. It’s a great option for busy lifestyles ❤️.
We always hear hairstylists talking about color trends, but let’s talk about hair styling trends! This is what I see trending in styling this year. Smooth blowouts with subtle, soft face framing. How to acheive this look?
Step 1: blowout the hair using a round brush and create a little flip at the ends. We are looking for a smooth blowout, not a ton of movement.
Step 2: using a large barrel curling iron, 1 1/4” or larger, curl only the pieces above the ear and around the face. Make sure to curl all pieces AWAY from the face.
Step 3: brush out curls for softness and lightly tease.
Step 4: Finish with a shine serum or shine spray for healthy looking hair.

From warm and grown out to cool-toned and seamlessly blended. I melted out the old balayage and rebuilt the dimension from the root down for a soft, lived-in look. This is what a proper color correction looks like 🤌🏼. Also took me 4 hours 🤪! Worth it for the end result 💙.
