Cady Carlson Designs
I am a custom jewelry designer and CAD-programmer who particularly enjoys updating older jewelry and working with ethically sourced materials.
A 2014 SCAD grad & 2024 GIA diamonds grad, I have a working studio complete with a mill. Cady Carlson (pronounced CāDee) designs and CAD-programs custom jewelry and objects for individuals and businesses. She specializes in working with clients to create meaningful custom jewelry with a particular interest in renewable materials, whether designing with conflict-free materials such as lab-grown stones, or updating family heirlooms with existing gems or metal. She received training from Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, where she earned a BA in Jewelry and a Concentration in Entrepreneurial Business in 2014, later that year launching Cady Carlson Designs. She also has studied in numerous workshops, and has received international recognition for her work. In addition, she is certified in and keeps up to date in Matrix and Rhino CAD software, as well as milling (has one in her studio), 3D printing and traditional casting methods. She is an active member in both the local art and technology communities, often incorporating both in her work. Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but with the help of modern communication methods, she works with clients and vendors all over the world. Her website highlights some of her prior custom work and hand-made artisan jewelry. She also is in the process of developing a line of commercial jewelry, and her work is carried downtown Tulsa at the AHHA Gallery and retail store MADE.

Thank you all for keeping me so busy this year! To prepare for this coming season, I must enact a hard cut-off date of OCTOBER 5th for all custom pieces needed by December 23rd. Smaller jobs and simpler designs like earrings, pearl necklaces, chains, etc. can wait until December 1st (but I'll always take them early!). 🩵💙💜

New designs at 108 Gallery! Tune in each week to learn a little about the new pieces, or if you just can't wait, head over to 108 E Reconciliation Way, Tulsa, OK 74103.
Pictured here is a necklace made from entirely reclaimed parts. I titled this "Achilles Necklace" based upon the my interpretation of what his helmet may have looked like. The copper center has a natural and flame patina and is encased in brushed sterling silver cutouts. Look at both sides -- this piece is reversible!

Pictured here are some beautiful lab-created mosaic opals set in sterling silver. I'm including a much better picture of the individual stones as I really struggled photographing this pair -- Mary, come back! I miss you and your photography skills!!!

Pictured here is a part of a series I've been working on. These beautiful blue-green gems were mined in Idaho and qualify for the illustrious Fair Trade Level 1 title. Sprinkled among them you will find large pearls and sterling silver beads.

I had fun making something a little different! My fascination with jewelry all started with copper, so I made these flame-patinated copper discs and set them in textured sterling silver. They've already sold, but I'm considering making more.

One of my favorite charities, is in need of donations! They partner with the jewelry industry to encourage the use and purchase of mercury-free gold and "protect children from toxins like lead and mercury... [their] solutions protect children and improves the lives of families living in low- and middle-income countries."
"Every gift you make now through June 30th goes twice as far to fund exactly this kind of work. Our spring champions, Joshua Rosen and Jessica Bell, intend to recommend a grant of up to $50,000 through their donor-advised fund to match gifts received during the campaign, dollar-for-dollar."
