Sunrises 🌅 are THE BEST!
Good Monday, August 10, 2026 morning from .
This photo was taken years ago from the at the Apartment Building we lived in when we first moved to Cary, NC back in 2020!
Our apt faced the East and it was my way of starting each morning. I would fix my coffee and sit on the balcony as Leon slept in.
We had moved here to be closer to our daughter Stephanie Romero and were awaiting our forever home Glenaire Continuing Care Retirement Community to be built.
Oh and did I tell you it was March 2020 and the Pandemic had started.
So, two kids (or older people lol) take off on a journey leaving almost literally the same place they had lived in their entire lives, all their friends, extended family, church, a pandemic had started and I guess you get the idea!
Things we learned:
**. Leon and I (who are two VERY different people with VERY different interests) CAN spend tons of time (24/7) and enjoy each other.
**. He taught me yoga 🧘♂️ and we enjoyed that together a few times each week.
***. We had our own Book Club (just the two of us)!
***. We learned how to “stream” by getting YouTubeTV!
***. I learned how to cook.
***. I learned how to do InstaCart.
*** I learned Leon can cheat at Mexican Train Dominos (just kidding)!
***. We learned that the two of us are stronger in our faith and our relationship than ever!
***. I learned that I needed a morning routine to keep me from being depressed.
Soooooooo
Every single morning I would make coffee, watch the beautiful sunrise, and post it on facebook with something(s) I was grateful for.
And that continues today.
Although our forever home faces west and we are sooo blessed to be stressed about anything now.
I know the sun will rise each day.
So thanks for reading these “ramblings” this morning.
