A lot of new faces have landed here lately, so I figured it was time to officially say hi. 👋🏼🤎

What started as a leap of faith turned into a career, a storefront, thousands of brows, countless hours of education, a few awards, and a business I’m incredibly proud to call mine.

But behind Brow Design New York, I’m also just Christie — wife, mom of two, former healthcare girl, perfectionist, professional overthinker 😂 and someone who genuinely still gets excited every time a client sees her new brows for the first time.

As permanent makeup has evolved, so have the techniques available to us—and continuing education is a huge part of being a responsible artist.

For me, transitioning to machine hairstrokes completely changed the way I approach brows. I can customize the pattern to the client, work with a wider range of skin types, and most importantly, consider how that work will look months and years from now—not just immediately after the appointment.

Techniques evolve. Artists should too. 🤎

I always approach the first Nano Brow session conservatively—creating the shape, building soft strokes, and seeing exactly how your skin heals and retains pigment.

At the touch up, we can see what stayed, where we need more density, and add those final strokes to bring everything together without overworking the skin.

We can always add more. We can’t take it away. 🤎

Fresh permanent makeup will always look a little darker and more defined before it heals and softens—and that’s exactly why I prefer to start conservatively.

We can always add more at your perfecting session. More color. More fullness. More definition.

Taking pigment away? Not so simple. 😉
