My parent/child appointments are my favorite and I am forever grateful to the parents that trust me with their most precious extensions of themselves.

Whether the haircare process is brand new to parents or if they just need help tweaking a few things about their routine, the time they spend with their child is so crucial in so many ways and needs to be simple yet impactful.

Daily life moves quickly and the importance of a solid haircare routine for your children makes everyone's life smoother in the physical and builds the little ones strength in the spiritual.

I'll always be here to teach, answer, show, explain, suggest, assert, and empower.

Everyday I am told by adults that they were raised to hate their hair, spoken to as children as if it is a problem that needed to be fixed, tamed, and controlled. This is incredibly dangerous verbiage to use towards children as it greatly impacts the way they see and feel about themselves.

Or their mother had drastically different hair and didn't know how to help them take care of theirs. It has taken some people 20 or 30 or 50 years to truly love the hair they were born with. There is no reason for this anymore, not in this day and age.

We must teach the young ones to love everything about themselves, inside and out. (And help the parents not go crazy while doing so 😁)

Change is Good ✨

I have done so many amazing drastic changes lately and it is so restorative to my soul to see. I personally love and need change. I know it is not that easy for others. I see change as growth. Even if it is hard to do.

I applaud the changes so many have made lately, and am thankful I get to be the catalyst for theirs. ❤

The Point ✨

I want all my curlies to love their foundation. The way their hair is cut will determine formation capability.

I can not receive a bigger compliment than someone saying they love their hair when it is completely unstyled.

Styling should be optional. Either way, styled or unstyled, the haircut itself should stand on its own and always be a sound foundation.

When someone comes in saying they want to try bangs, I literally get so excited I'm afraid they will think I'm a weirdo 😂

I know how amazingly versatile this look will be for them, and how comfortable they can finally feel doing something that for some reason was always considered a no-no for curly haired people.

I've gotten better at keeping my cool, but still usually forget to have them take off their glasses 🤦

Before & After ✨

Faith and I started talking on here a while ago and yesterday was finally the day! She is trying to forego twistouts for the wash and go life.

We did a beautiful balayage to help her on her way. Different coloring processes are a great way to motivate you to wear your hear down and in turn take more consistent care of it!

Thank you for spending my afternoon with me Faith! It was an absolute pleasure!

Restored ✨

We shaped out damage (from overly aggressive highlights done at another salon) without sacrificing too much of her length, did a protein treatment, a rejuvenating treatment, and toned the hair to a much more natural looking place.

Thank you for letting me teach you how to properly care for your beautiful hair, Dalia!
