We’re excited to announce More Than A Conqueror: Cookout & Skating at Anacostia Park, hosted by Know Means No! This community event is dedicated to honoring and celebrating survivors of sexual violence. Together, we’ll create a day of healing, joy, and connection.
📅 Event Date: TBD (April, 2025)
📍 Location: Outdoor Skating Rink at Anacostia Park in Washington DC
🎉 What’s Happening:
✨ Skating activities and demonstrations
✨ Community cookout with food and vendors
✨ Live music and spoken word performances
✨ Resource tables for support services
✨ A special recognition ceremony honoring one extraordinary survivor
💌 Calling All Survivors!
We’re inviting survivors to share their inspiring More Than A Conqueror stories. One amazing individual will be selected for a Weekend of Love & Pampering, including:
💆♀️ Beauty services at Merinaz and a signature massage at Tusuva Spa (Washington, DC)
🏨 Two-night stay at a local Airbnb or hotel
🍽️ Dinner prepared by a private chef
📸 A professional photo shoot with a makeup artist
🎁 A personalized love basket filled with gifts
🚗 Transportation for the entire weekend

We’re looking for passionate individuals to join the organizing team and help bring this powerful event to life. Whether you’re a planner, volunteer coordinator, creative mind, or simply eager to support, we need YOU!
