Shoulders are designed to move.
When certain muscles become restricted, that movement can become uncomfortable, limited, or feel “stuck.”
One muscle that can contribute to those restrictions is the subscapularis, located beneath the shoulder blade.
This clip shows focused work to the subscapularis followed by movement and stretching to encourage mobility and reduce restriction.
Potential benefits may include:
• Improved shoulder mobility
• Easier overhead movement
• Reduced shoulder tension
• Improved comfort with everyday activities
Every area of the body works together. Addressing restriction at its source can often help improve movement as a whole.

The muscles between and around the shoulder blades play an important role in how your neck, shoulders, and upper body move. When these tissues become restricted, the effects can show up as:
• Neck stiffness
• Shoulder tension
• Tension headaches
• Reduced mobility
• Numbness or tingling caused by irritated or compressed nerves
• Discomfort that radiates into the shoulder or arm
This is why I don’t just focus on where symptoms show up. I focus on the surrounding muscles and movement patterns that may be contributing to the problem.
Using trigger point therapy, firm pressure holds, and focused bodywork, the goal is to reduce restriction, improve mobility, and help your body move more comfortably.
Where you feel the pain isn’t always where the problem begins
The room is finally finished.
A fresh space, a new chapter, and the same results-driven bodywork you’ve come to expect.
I’m excited to officially welcome clients to my new location inside Physiologic Clinic and continue helping people stay ahead of pain, recover from training, and keep doing what they love.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey. I can’t wait to share what’s next.

I’m excited to share that beginning June 17, Voss Massage Therapy will be relocating inside Physiologic Clinic in West Des Moines.
This move represents an exciting new chapter for my business while allowing me to continue providing the focused deep tissue, pain management, and sports massage services my clients know and trust.
What isn’t changing:
• The therapist
• The treatment approach
• The commitment to helping you move and feel your best
What is changing:
• A new location
• A larger treatment room
• New opportunities for collaboration with other health and performance professionals
I’m incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received over the past year and excited for what lies ahead. I look forward to welcoming both new and existing clients to the new location beginning June 17.
See you at Physiologic Clinic!

Happy Memorial Day ❤️🤍💙 As we honor and remember those who served, it also marks the unofficial kickoff to summer.
More sun. More movement. More adventure. More reasons to take care of your body. ☀️
Summer has a way of exposing all the tight shoulders, achy backs, old injuries, and “I’ll deal with it later” habits. Whether you’re traveling, training, chasing kids, spending more time outside, or simply trying to feel your best, don’t wait until pain forces you to slow down.
20% off sessions from May 25–June 30. Promo available through my website.

Not every session length serves the same purpose.
60 minutes can be great for one main problem area.
90 minutes (my favorite 👀) gives more time for deeper work and treating the source—not just where it hurts.
120 minutes allows for more complete treatment when your body has a lot going on.
Deep work. Real change.

Another Market to Market relay in the books 🏃🏼♀️💚
As a runner myself, events like this are a reminder of how much repetitive stress, fatigue, and tightness can build up in the body over time. Proud of improving my pace from last year and grateful for such a fun team experience.
Now onto recovery mode 😅
