Sometimes I pause for just a minute, look around, and realize how far my garden has come. Every seed planted, every patch cleaned, every harvest—it all started with faith, patience, and consistency.

There’s something special about growing your own food. It reminds you that the best things in life don’t happen overnight. They grow one day at a time. 🌿

One of the reasons I love growing food is that it teaches patience. We live in a world that often encourages us to move quickly, but the garden operates on a different timeline. My garden teach me the same lesson about life. Growth is happening even when I can’t see it. Every stage has a purpose. The seedling stage is no less important than the harvest stage.

On National Gardening Day my girls got their hands dirty and their hearts full as we harvested broccoli blueberries and cherry tomatoes 🥦 🍅 Planted corn squash nasturtiums and pole beans! From planting tiny seeds to pulling treasures of weeds from the soil, this experience teaches us the value of responsibility, perseverance, and caring for the earth ☀️

I am so proud of Ailani & Journei for nurturing our garden every step of the way—and even more excited to enjoy the fruits (and veggies!) of our labor. 🌼💚
