I’ve seen lots of posts going around the last couple of months talking about what’s in or out for 2024!🥳🥳

Hair trends are a real thing and I’ve seen them shift a lot in the 8 years I’ve been in the industry!📈📉

When I first started out we were seeing lots of braids, loose, flowy styles, baby’s breath, and flower crowns!🪢🌸

Lately, low, sleek buns, high French twists, and glamor waves seem to be all the fashion!👱🏼‍♀️👱🏼‍♀️

So what should you choose? Hot Take: it doesn’t matter what the trend is-do what you LOVE bc trends will come and go!🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

You want to look back on your wedding photos and think, “Wow I looked so beautiful,” not, “I wish I hadn’t gone all slicked back just bc that was what the trend was.”👍🏻👍🏻

And there will be looks like half-up that are always on trend, super classic, and provide a great anchor point for your veil! 🥰🥰

What should your getting ready timeline look like?👇🏻👇🏻

The morning of your wedding should be as relaxed and stress free as you can make it! 🧖‍♀️🧖‍♀️

That’s why we’re here: to make you feel your most beautiful and relaxed on your special day! 💆🏼‍♀️💆🏼‍♀️

One of the best things to help you fill out and enjoy the day is to have a well planned getting ready timeline with plenty of buffer! 👍🏻👍🏻

To figure out your ideal timeline talking with your vendors is key! 🔑🔑

You'll need to know:

✅What time your venue will allow you to arrive onsite

✅What time your photographer will begin taking pictures

✅How many people are getting hair and makeup services

✅And how long your hairstylist and makeup artist want for each person

From here you build your timeline! For example:

⛪️⛪️Your venue allows you to arrive at 8 AM

📸📸Your photographer wants getting ready pictures to start at 12:00 and you need a little buffer built in for brunch.

👯‍♀️👯‍♀️And you have yourself, mother of the bride, and 3 bridesmaids wanting services done.

💄💄Your glam squad takes 30min/bridesmaid and 1hr for the bride

Your timeline: 📋📋

7:30am-setup/people arrive
8:00 bridesmaid 1
8:30 bridesmaid 2
9:00 bridesmaid 3
9:30 bride
10:30 break for brunch
11:00 mother of the bride
11:30 final touchups
12:00 hair and makeup complete!

this is an ideal scenario! But it is also good to keep in mind that often your venue will often not let you arrive early enough to get started. Especially if you have a very large bridal party of 7+ people.

And some vendors will require more than a 30 minute time slot! Additionally, it is good to remember that people will often be running behind, and that can impact our timeline as well!

all this to say, it is good to start earlier than you think you will need to. This often requires getting started at a hotel or Airbnb nearby instead of at the venue.

and remember, at the end of the day, we’re here to help your day run, super smoothly and stress-free, and make you all look absolutely stunning in your photos!

How do you pick your bridal glam squad?!?👇🏻👇🏻

1. Look at your hairstylists and mua’s pictures: specifically of styles with hair and skin type similar to your own!🤳🤳

2. Look at their style and make sure it matches your esthetic for your day! Wanting braids and loose, boho curls? Make sure they have pictures of similar styles! 💐💐

3. Ask booked vendors for their recommendations! Love your hairstylist, and have trouble finding a make up artist, ask your hairstylist! We have a list of preferred Makeup Artists that we’ve loved to work with that do beautiful work and we can send your way!📋📋

4. Communication! does it take five weeks for them to get back to you with a quote? Just know it may take a long time for you to communicate any question to them. If the vendor immediately responds within a day to your initial request, they are going to be super easy for you to work with throughout the planning process!🗣️🗣️

5. Do the vibe check! As important as gorgeous hair and make up is to your morning, it’s also your wedding day and you want to be super fun and stress-free! 💃🏽💃🏽

Make sure you pick a glam squad who is there to have fun with you and help you relax and just enjoy your special day! if you get the feeling that your beauty vendors are gonna cause you more stress than relaxation… Run!🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
