Things i was a bit rubbish about sharing #289. Two goddesses: Birutė and Katie. These two are pretty epic women. Wild, powerful, sensual and leading a new wave of women-driven sauna across the world. Between them they have made a very significant impact upon the world of sauna. .

Working at wild spa today. All the good clouds decorated the sky and lovely fleur did family story telling in the steam room.

Every time someone comes to the sauna it is a special and beautiful thing. But sometimes it is a truly healing and sacred thing too. This lovely lady was so stressed and needed some love and attention. I'm so happy for her that she felt so renewed by her sauna. I can honestly say that it fills my heart with love when I see people being able to work with the stresses of life. I'm so proud of her. ❤️

It's hard to overstate how much Stanmer Park has improved over the last few years and how exciting and diverse the projects are here. I've been a Brighton resident for 33 years and Stanmer park has always been a place that was special to me. It has slowly (and more recently very quickly!) become a real destination. If you haven't already been to visit Stanmer, you really should come here. It's amazing how much there is to do!

I love blackberry season. I love having free snacks wherever I go. I also love gathering the blackberries to make blackberry vinegar. You just add the blackberries to organic apple cider vinegar and let it macerate for three days (don't use a metal bowl or jug!!) and then drain. It takes amazing on salads but it also makes a refreshing kombucha-like drink called a seltzer, when added to fizzy water. Mmm. It's a brilliant winter tonic full of vitamin c. You can also make blackberry brandy by swapping the vinegar for brandy and adding about 200g or to taste of sugar. Stir or shake every day for a couple of weeks. Then once a week for a further few weeks. Drain the berries off and try and let it sit for a while before you drink it because it'll improve the flavour. (I'm deliberately vague about recipe/times because it's quite nice to develop your own way)

You know how there are some things you can look at, which make you feel so delighted that you could stare fir hours without being bored? These are some of them. is full of magical pathways. The vibe is very peaceful and happy today. feels almost supernaturally gentle. I think the warmth and golden light have cast a spell.

As for me, sauna is like church and therapy and the pub all rolled into one but also so much more. Its also playful and healing and relaxing and energising. You come out feeling completely renewed. It's such a beautiful thing to share space with people and listen to their feelings and tend to them. I feel so much love and joy when I am at work. I'm probably one of the most awkward photo subjects ever, but luckily it's not what you look like that matters. My whole heart loves being a sauna master.
