EIGHT EASY STEPS TO TAKING CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE AND HEALTH
People who succeed to take control of their lives did not start on the first day of January. There is a lesson in that. Taking control of your life starts at any time when you are ready to face the reality of your situation and where you make a conscious decision that you dislike where you are now and that you are willing to start taking “baby steps” to get to where you want to be.
People want to accomplish the end result within days or at most weeks. This is a mistake. People succeed because they know where they want to get to and then start counting their “baby steps”. They focus on the next step and not the end result. Achieving the next easy step consistently will eventually lead to the end result.
Step One
One reason change is difficult is that it often begins by taking something away. Instead, start by adding something beneficial. Each morning, have a smoothie for breakfast. Begin the day with a nutrient-dense meal that gives you the fuel you need. Include three key ingredients: a healthy protein, such as pea or whey protein, a raw egg, nuts, peas, or avocado; plenty of vegetables, such as broccoli, spinach, carrots, or fresh or frozen peas; and a healthy fat from nuts, avocado, coconut oil, or flaxseed. Place everything in a blender and add liquid. Avoid fruit juice, as the fruit already provides some sugar. Use whole raw milk or filtered water instead.
Step Two
Eat a large salad every day. This does not mean only lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Build a nutritious salad with a variety of raw vegetables, then add herbs, seeds, garlic, and virgin olive oil.
Step Three
Stop consuming processed or artificial products. Cut out sugar, fizzy drinks, artificial sweeteners, white bread, buns, pasta, and anything from a tin or packet. Avoid vegetable oils such as sunflower oil, margarine, and fried foods. Focus on whole, real, and organic foods. Increase the amount of raw food you eat, aiming for 60% raw, with more vegetables than fruit.
Step Four
It is time for detox. This is not something to do once or twice a year; your body needs to remove waste every day. Aim for two stools a day, as anything less may allow toxins to be reabsorbed through the colon. Use bran, magnesium, and probiotics to support regular elimination.
We also detoxify through the skin, urine, and lungs. Support these pathways by perspiring through exercise or a sauna, drinking enough pure water to support urination, and breathing deeply and properly.

Good quality sleep is essential for physical and mental health, as well as weight management. Aim for eight hours of restful sleep each night.

It is time to increase your exercise routine. You do not need to join a gym. Try speed walking, rebounding, running, or dancing. Exercise at least three times a week and raise your heart rate several times during each session. Exercise supports the lymphatic system, releases “feel-good” hormones, improves sleep, reduces stress and low mood, boosts circulation, and increases energy.
