Zim Breaking News : In a surprise move, CCC faction leader Sengezo Tshabangu yesterday said his party will not back Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3 in its current form, arguing the proposed changes prioritize political interests over national ones and must be revised before securing his faction’s support.

The Bill, CAB3, is being pushed by the ruling ZANU PF party. However, ZANU PF holds a majority in the National Assembly but must secure support from CCC legislators to pass the constitutional amendment.

CCC interim national spokesperson Nqobizitha Mlilo said yesterday that the party was engaging the ruling party in a bid to get the Bill reworked.
