We recently received an emergency case referred from another doctor to me. The patient was
suffering from vascular occlusion in her lower lip. A vascular occlusion occurs when blood is no longer able to pass through a blood vessel. The patient had a jawline contour and a lip filler procedure the day prior to her visit at our clinic. Unfortunately, during the treatment, she immediately experienced blanching and her doctor had to do an emergency filler dissolving procedure.Next day, she was referred to me for another screening and an immediate treatment.

A referral female patient is complaining of under-eye swelling, more prominent in the morning, associated with the Tyndall effect (bluish discoloration), one year after she got filler injection. Ultrasound screening was performed to locate the injected filler. Medially, in the tear trough area, there are two hypoechoic, homogeneous in texture, oval-shaped, well-defined HA filler deposits: one located subdermally, above the angular vessel, and another supraperiosteally, below the vessel, both showing posterior enhancement. Laterally, there are multiple, small, anechoic, homogeneous in texture, round-shaped, well-defined HA filler deposits, situated beneath the Orbicularis oculi muscle.
