As an ambitious woman, be careful who you choose to build a life with. Do not date a man who feels threatened by your drive, your growth, or your success. The wrong partner will expect you to shrink yourself so he can feel bigger—and when you refuse, that insecurity can turn into control, resentment, and sometimes even violence.
Choose someone who is secure enough to celebrate your ambition, not someone who punishes you for it. You should never have to become smaller to make a relationship work.

Before I hear anyone say, “But the President didn’t do it,” let me say this: sometimes, a single word or intervention from the highest office can change the course of events, and I strongly believe this death could have been avoided.

One of the biggest problems is that some of the people who benefit from being close to government are unwilling to tell the President when things are going wrong. Leadership also requires people around you who are courageous enough to speak the truth, even when it is uncomfortable.

Those who know me know how strongly I campaigned for the UPND in 2021. I supported the party because I believed in change and in a better Zambia. But supporting a political party does not mean remaining silent when I believe it is losing direction.

For years, too much energy has been spent on political battles and what many perceive as witch-hunts, when the real priority should be improving the lives of ordinary Zambians — creating jobs, lowering the cost of living, strengthening our institutions and giving people hope for a better future.

We supported change because we wanted better governance, not just a change of government. And when something is wrong, we must be able to say so, regardless of which party is in power.
