We're proud to welcome Shoyah Athill of All Saints Secondary School to the Hodges Bay Resort & Spa family as part of the Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Academy 2026!

Over the next six weeks, Shoyah will train alongside our very own Executive Chef, Brian Abbott, gaining hands-on experience in a professional kitchen and building the skills, confidence, and passion needed to launch a career in culinary arts.

Shoyah is one of 14 talented secondary school students taking part in this year's Academy, placed at leading hotels and restaurants across Antigua and Barbuda to train alongside experienced chef mentors.

This year's Academy also introduces an exciting regional partnership with the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association. Our top Junior Chef will travel to the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2027 to take part in the Junior Lit'l Chefs Program under the TCI Hospitality Adventure Camps, gaining hands-on experience with industry chefs and fellow young culinary talent.

We're excited to play a part in shaping the next generation of hospitality talent right here at Hodges Bay. Welcome to the kitchen, Shoyah. We can't wait to see you grow!
