Why Avoid Toe Springs?
Many people think training shoes = good daily shoes. But have you ever looked at what your foot is actually doing inside them?
That upward curve at the front (aka the toe spring) forces your big toe into constant dorsiflexion.
⚠️ Over time, this can:
- Limit big toe mobility
- Alter natural gait mechanics (the way we walk)
- Shift pressure away from the toes
- Weaken your foot’s stability and strength
- Lead to imbalances up the chain (think knees, hips, back)
Your toes are meant to press into the ground, not hover above it.
💡 For long-term foot health, opt for shoes with:
✔️ A flat sole
✔️ Roomy toe box
✔️ No forced toe spring
Your feet were designed brilliantly. Most shoes are not.

Interesting! What do you think?
🍫 What if your cravings are trying to tell you something?
That late-night comfort food.
The craving for sweets when you're feeling low.
The extra cup of coffee when your mind feels foggy.
We often think cravings are something to fight, but sometimes they're invitations to pause and listen.
Maybe you're seeking comfort.
Maybe you're longing for connection.
Maybe you're craving a sense of grounding, confidence, or clarity.
Healing Touch encourages a deeper awareness of the connection between body, mind, emotions, and energy. When we become curious instead of critical, we can begin to understand what our bodies may truly need.
✨ What craving shows up most often for you?

In our weekly reflexology research post, we spotlight this week how reflexology can help with the fatigue/exhaustion experienced by patients with multiple sclerosis. The seven studies (six randomized controlled trials and one quasi-experimental study) totaled over 430 participants. In six of them, the findings showed that foot reflexology significantly reduced this fatigue. Read more: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39960275.

Self-compassion is key to a happy and fulfilling life. Here are five practical ways to be kind to yourself:
ㅤ
1 - Ask yourself what you need: Acknowledge that your needs are valid.
ㅤ
2 - Validate your pain: Recognize and accept your emotional experience.
ㅤ
3 - Remember you aren’t alone: We all struggle; you’re not isolated in your challenges.
ㅤ
4 - Honor your humanity: Being human means being imperfect.
ㅤ
5 - Treat yourself like you would treat a friend: Be supportive and helpful toward yourself.

I had a great time with some beautiful women on Friday, learning Indian head massage! I was not prepared for how nurturing and relaxing this therapy can be. And I didn't even care how my hair looked afterwards! 🥰
I am now adding Indian head massage to my repertoire, starting price $70 for 45 minutes.
Indian Head Massage is a treatment that works on the head, neck, shoulders, upper back, arms & face.
This treatment is performed on the client fully clothed, seated in an upright chair making it a great option for everyone. Each treatment takes between 30-45 minutes
It is based on the ancient Ayurvedic healing system and has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. The treatment has become more popular in Australia over recent years, and it has many benefits.
Indian Head Massage is also called Champissage, which means ""head massage"" and comes from the Hindi term “champi,” from which the English word “shampoo” is derived.

Reflexology can be a deeply supportive complementary therapy for people navigating addictions, eating disorders, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm.
When the nervous system is under constant stress, the body can remain in a prolonged state of fight, flight, or freeze. Reflexology offers a calming, grounding space where the body can begin to relax, regulate, and reconnect.
Many people struggling with addictive behaviours or disordered eating experience high levels of stress, emotional dysregulation, poor sleep, digestive issues, and disconnection from their bodies. Through therapeutic touch and relaxation, reflexology may help support emotional wellbeing, improve sleep quality, reduce tension, and encourage a greater sense of balance and self-awareness.
Research is continuing to grow in this area. A 2020 systematic review and meta-analysis found that reflexology significantly improved anxiety, depression, and sleep quality in adults, suggesting it may help support nervous system regulation and emotional wellbeing alongside conventional care.
While reflexology is not a replacement for medical or psychological treatment, it can be a valuable holistic support alongside professional care, helping clients feel nurtured, safe, and supported in their healing journey.

Every person deserves compassionate care and a space where healing can begin gently, one step at a time.

Most people don’t realise how much is actually going on in a reflexology session.
It’s not just “a nice treatment” (though it can feel like that). There’s a lot of listening, adjusting, and working with what shows up in the body on the day. No two sessions are the same, because no two people walk in the same.
If you’ve ever left a session feeling lighter, calmer, or like something shifted - that’s not by accident.
