Most people walk into an IPL appointment not realising how much is happening beneath the skin that they can’t yet see. 🌿
IPL skin rejuvenation, the TIGHT AND BRIGHT treatment we offer here at Skin Naturelle, is one of the most misunderstood therapies in clinic. Clients often expect one session to change everything, or worry when their skin looks a little uneven in the days after treatment. Both reactions are completely normal, and both come from not having the full picture.
What most clinics don’t take the time to explain: the skin’s response to IPL light energy is a process, not a moment. Redness, minor darkening of pigment spots, and temporary texture changes in the days post-treatment are all part of healthy skin responding exactly as it should.

I LOVE a sauna… but your skin might not love quite as much heat as you do. 🔥😂
A little skin therapist tip from me while I’m enjoying some downtime on our VIP getaway…
When we get really hot, the tiny blood vessels close to the surface of our skin dilate to help our body release heat. That’s why we flush and turn red.
And if you’re someone who is already prone to facial redness, rosacea or visible capillaries, too much heat can potentially aggravate that flushing and make redness more noticeable.
So no, I’m not telling you that you can never enjoy your sauna. 🙈
I’m saying listen to your skin and your body.
✨ Don’t stay in there trying to beat your personal sauna record.
✨ Take breaks and allow your body to cool down.
✨ Keep hydrated.
✨ If your face is getting very hot, try a cool, damp towel to help you cool down.
✨ And my very scientific Skin Naturelle rule… 😂
If your bum has gone bright red, you’ve probably been in there long enough.
Sometimes we LOVE that feeling of intense heat, whether it’s the sauna, steam room or a scorching hot shower, but your skin may be telling you it’s had enough before you’re ready to get out.
Especially if redness and visible capillaries are already something you’re trying to manage, a little less heat can be a very good thing.
