That pop is not your spine going back into place.
What you're watching is called HVLA. High velocity low amplitude. A quick controlled push through a joint that has gotten stiff. The sound is just gas releasing inside the joint. Same thing that happens when you crack your knuckles.
What it actually does is calm down the area so it moves better and feels less angry. It's not magic and it won't fix things on its own. Pair it with the right exercises and the results actually stick.
And no you don't need a chiro for this. Physios are trained in it too 👌

A hip labral tear could be one possible cause, especially if you also notice:
💥Clicking, catching or locking
💥Pain during squats, running or twisting
💥Stiffness or reduced hip movement
💥Discomfort after sitting for long periods
But here’s the important part: a labral tear on an MRI does not always explain your pain, and it does not automatically mean you need surgery.
Many people can improve with physiotherapy, activity changes and a gradual strengthening program.
Our latest blog explains:
✅️ What the hip labrum does
✅️ Common causes and symptoms
✅️ How labral tears are diagnosed
✅️ How physiotherapy may help
✅️ When scans or surgery may be considered

🌿 Feeling stressed, run down or constantly overwhelmed?
Your body is designed to cope with stress, but ongoing physical and emotional demands can leave you feeling exhausted.
Liquorice has traditionally been used in herbal medicine to:
🌱 Support healthy adrenal function
🌱 Help the body adapt to periods of stress
🌱 Reduce feelings of fatigue and low energy
🌱 Support resilience during busy or demanding times
🌱 Promote overall wellbeing
Herbal medicine isn't one-size-fits-all. Liquorice may not be suitable for everyone, particularly people with high blood pressure, kidney disease or those taking certain medications. That's why personalised advice is so important.
If stress is affecting your energy, sleep or overall health, book a consultation with Sejla at Physio Physique to discover a tailored, evidence-informed approach.

🌿 Period cramps slowing you down?
Cramp bark might be worth knowing about.
Cramp bark (Viburnum opulus) is a traditional herbal medicine that has been used for generations to help relieve muscle spasms and cramping, particularly menstrual cramps.
Rather than simply masking symptoms, it is believed to help relax smooth muscle, making it a popular choice for people experiencing painful periods, pelvic tension or cramping.
While cramp bark can be a useful part of a natural treatment plan, it's important to remember that persistent or severe period pain isn't something you should just "put up with."
Conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis or fibroids may be contributing to your symptoms and deserve proper assessment.
A qualified naturopath will consider the bigger picture, including your hormones, stress levels, nutrition, lifestyle and menstrual history, before recommending herbs such as cramp bark.
Treatment is always tailored to the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
If period pain is affecting your work, exercise or quality of life, it may be time to look beyond painkillers and explore the underlying cause.
🗓 For expert advice, book a consultation with our naturopath today.

🚨 Stop stressing about finding the "perfect posture."
The truth is, there isn't one.
Your body is built to move. Sitting up perfectly straight all day isn't the answer, just like slouching all day isn't either.
The best posture is your next posture.
✅ Change positions regularly.
✅ Get up and move every 30 to 60 minutes.
✅ Keep your joints and muscles moving throughout the day.
If you're dealing with ongoing neck pain, back pain or stiffness, a physiotherapist can help identify what's driving your symptoms and create a plan to keep you moving with confidence.
