🧡I'm Jem, a mum of 4 (but dance/gymnastics mum to three 🤸🏻‍♀️) and self taught braid addict who works from home in Armadale, WA.

🩵🤍 My Braid Studio is the blue and silver Caravan to the left hand side at front of our property. Please park on the grassed area with the front of your car to the fence. PLEASE DON’T PARK IN OUR DRIVEWAY. Enter using the gate closest to my caravan (not the main driveway). Please wait in your car if someone is here before you and avoid bringing extra people with your to your appointment as my space is small and cosy.

⏰ My work hours for Term 4 will be Wednesday to Saturday. We have after school sporting commitments 5 days per week however I’m available for appointments after school on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday around drop offs and pick ups. If you wish to make an appointment outside of my available time please send me a message.❗️Please note that there is a surcharge to out of hours appointments ❗️

🕙 My hours are different during the school holidays so please check here for my availability.

I am only one person (also a fifo wife and mum to 4 👱🏼‍♀️👦🏻👧🏼🧒🏼) so 70% of school and sport drop offs and pick ups are all on me which means I have more availability on some days than others.

🦄 All styles and group bookings require a non refundable 50% deposit at time of booking to secure your appointment. The balance can be paid on the day of your booking.

To save any confusion I have added my cancellation policy below ⬇️

💥 CANCELLATION POLICY 💥
-Your deposit is non-refundable.
-No shows will be charged their remaining balance.
-If you arrive too late to your appointment and time won’t allow the style you originally booked you will still be charged the balance of that style.
-Please let me know if you can’t make your appointment so that your spot may be offered to someone else.
-I can transfer your booking to another date that is open on my website if you let me know at least 48hrs before your appointment.
-You must let me know straight away the new date/time you wish to reschedule to otherwise your deposit will be forfeited.
-I do not allow refunds if your event is cancelled if I still have the go ahead to work. I try my best to be accommodating but please remember that no refunds will be given on deposits.
-If I need to cancel your appointment due to
myself or someone in my home testing positive for Covid I will allow you to rebook within 6 months from your original appointment date.

👶My children may be home during your appointment depending on school and sport 🏀🤸

🧖‍♀️ Please wash your hair minimum 3 days before you're booked in as braids go in better and stay in better to hair that hasn't just been washed.

🤸‍♀️ Please arrive to your appointment with hair brushed, free of any knots & straightened for best results unless straightening is included in your appointment, please let me know if you need to me straighten your hair as I need to allow more time for your booking and a charge of $25 will be added to the cost.

🤩 If your natural hair is frizzy or quite curly and you’re wanting to book a style with extensions, especially a pony then your hair MUST be straightened beforehand. The extensions are synthetic and can't always be styled afterwards.

⛅️Please note a $20 surcharge will apply to all appointments outside of these times.

⏰Please arrive on time to your booking, not early, not late, just on time as I work my appointments around my children & sport drop offs and pick ups etc. If you arrive too early I may not be home yet but never fear, I won't be too far away! Any late arrivals of 10mins or more may mean I can't do the particular hairstyle you are wanting as there may be someone booked in straight after you.

❓How long will my braids last❓
🌟Each style is different and it does depend alot on your hair type and how much you move around in your sleep. I recommend not washing your hair for 3 days before your appointment and I've heard using a silk pillowcase when you sleep helps. Don't get your braids soaked in the shower but I recommend using a little bit of water in a spray bottle to comb up any flyaways followed by a little bit of hairspray if you think you need it. Most tight styles last approx 1-3 weeks.

🏊‍♀️ You can swim with your extensions in however just like your natural hair, your braids will become messier more quickly after becoming wet.

💥If you can not make your appointment then please let me know at your earliest convenience, I would be happy to reschedule you for another day.

😠 If you are a no show to your appointment and don't have the manners to let me know then please don't expect to be booked in for another time. I understand things come up but to not get in contact with me to at least let me know something has happened is extremely rude.

🎉 I'm also available for birthday parties, hen's parties & events. Minimum 3 people and a travel fee within the Perth metro area applies. Please message me for more details. 50% non refundable deposit is required for these types of events.
