This message honestly made my day šŸ„¹ā¤ļø

I love getting messages like this from my clients.

She had her treatment on Saturday and messaged me a couple of days later saying she felt so much lighter and less puffyā¤ļø

Before her treatment, she had been feeling tired and stressed. She also spends most of her day standing at work.

After the treatment, she noticed around 1.5kg difference on the scale and was going to the toilet a lot šŸ˜‚šŸ’§

Of course, that doesn’t mean she lost 1.5kg of fat. It can be from changes in water and fluid in the body.

But what made me really happy was hearing how she felt.

Lighter.
Less puffy.
More comfortable in her bodyā¤ļø

Sometimes, especially when we’re stressed, tired, standing all day and not moving enough, our body can feel heavy and sluggish.

Sometimes it just needs a little help to slow down, relax and get things moving again.

It’s not just about the massage.

It’s about how you feel when you leave my table✨

Hope everyone has an amazing week.

Next month, I’m heading off on a 5 week adventure to New Zealand!

I’ll be spending 3 weeks doing intensive advanced massage training, then 2 week on holiday with my husband.

I’m so excited to celebrate my 37th birthday with this special trip and make beautiful memories with my favourite personā¤ļø

If you’ve been thinking about booking a treatment before I go, I still have a some appointments available between now and mid-September.

I’d love to see you before I leaveā¤ļø

I’m looking forward to learning more so I can give even better treatments to all my lovely clients when I come back. Thank you so much for all your supportā¤ļø

One of my clients came in yesterday carrying more than just physical tension.

He’s only two weeks post-surgery and is also going through a difficult time in his personal life. We had a gentle treatment focused on helping his body relax and recover.

When he finished his massage at 12:30 pm, he smiled and said, ā€œI’m going home for a sleep.ā€

Early this morning, he messaged me to say thank you and told me he’d only just woken up after falling asleep at 2 pm yesterday😮 😮

People often ask, ā€œIs it normal to feel exhausted after a massage?ā€

For someone whose body has been under significant physical and emotional stress, sometimes the answer is YES.

Massage can help shift your nervous system from ā€œfight or flightā€ into ā€œrest and digest.ā€ When your body finally feels safe enough to let go, it may take the opportunity to catch up on the sleep and healing it has been missing.

Healing isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is allow yourself to truly rest.

Have you ever noticed how deeply you sleep after a massage?

About 2 months ago, I had a new client come in for a lymphatic drainage massage.

During our consultation, I took the time to listen and understand what she had been experiencing.

She shared that she often feels a heavy feeling in her legs and arms, aching discomfort, sensitivity to touch and that she bruises easily. She also has EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome).

On top of all of that, she was feeling exhausted and had very little energy. Like many mums, she spends so much time looking after everyone else and always puts herself last.

During the treatment, she enjoyed the experience. She told me she even had a little nap and she noticed her tummy was making noises during the session which can be a sign that her body was relaxing and shifting into a more rested state.

Sometimes, when our body finally feels safe and receives the attention it has been asking for, it allows us to slow down and rest.

After the session, I brought up something I felt she might want to pay attention to.

During the treatment, I noticed the texture of her arms and legs and together with the symptoms she shared during our consultation, I suggested that she consider speaking with a healthcare professional who specialises in lipoedema.

I want to be honest… this was something I struggled with before. When a client comes in for a massage, they are looking for pain relief, relaxation and a safe space. I never want to make someone worried or feel like I am giving them a diagnosis.

Because the truth is, I am not a doctor and I cannot tell someone ā€œyou have thisā€ or ā€œyou have thatā€.

But I also believe that if I notice something that may be worth exploring, it is my responsibility to gently share it.

Lipoedema can often be misunderstood or misdiagnosed. There is currently no simple medication or quick fix for it but recognising it earlier can help someone understand their body better and learn ways to manage their symptoms.

My intention was never to scare her.

My intention was to empower her with information so she can seek the right support and not continue wondering why her body feels the way it does.

Last week, this client came back for another lymphatic drainage massage.

She thanked me for bringing it up with her because she went to see a healthcare professional and received a diagnosis of stage 2 lipoedema.

The most beautiful part is that she now has a better understanding of her body and she is taking steps to help herself feel better.

She has started making positive changes, including swimming, adjusting her diet and lifestyle, stress management, using compression garments and lymphatic massage to support her body and manage her symptoms.

Seeing her now, with more knowledge, more confidence, and a plan to care for herself, reminded me why I chose this professionā¤ļø

And most importantly…

Please remember to take care of yourself too.

You are not always the last person on the list🌿

Two days. Chronic pain. A room full of passionate therapists.

And one reminder I’m bringing back to every session:

Pain is never just physical.

Your body and your emotions are always connected ā¤ļø

This one is for the women who’ve been through breast cancer surgery.
The ones who are healing
not just from the diagnosis,
but from everything that came with it.
The procedures.
The decisions.
The way your body looks and feels now compared to before.
A breast surgery scar
whether from a lumpectomy,
mastectomy, or reconstruction
can do more than sit quietly on the surface. The tissue underneath can become tight
and restricted over time.
This can pull on your
shoulder and arm movement,
create tightness across your chest,
cause numbness or changed sensation,
and even affect your posture without you realising it.
Scar massage works gently with the tissue underneath
helping it slowly soften,
release, and regain
more natural movement.
It improves circulation to the area.
It can reduce that pulling and tightness that so many women learn to just live with.
But beyond the physical
so many of my clients tell me they haven’t touched their scar since surgery.
That they feel disconnected from that part of their body.
That it doesn’t feel like theirs anymore.
That makes complete sense.
And it doesn’t have to stay that way.
This is some of the most meaningful work I do.
There is no rush.
No pressure.
Just careful, informed, gentle care for a body that has already been through so much.
If you have questions, or you’re not sure if you’re ready

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mums

Today I was thinking about one of my lovely clients.

Most of my clients have been with me for a long time. Sometimes during a massage, people slowly open their hearts too.
This client has been going through a lot emotionally lately.

At the end of the session, she looked at me softly and asked,
ā€œCan I give you a hug?ā€

I smiled and said,
ā€œOf course you can.ā€

When I was younger, I never realised how powerful a hug could be.
Growing up in a traditional Asian family, hugs were never really part of life.
We didn’t really show love that way.

But now I understand…

A hug can say so many things without words.
ā€œI see you.ā€
ā€œI care about you.ā€
ā€œYou don’t have to carry everything alone.ā€

If you ever need a hug,
please let me know ā¤ļø

My mum is a superhero in her own way.
Growing up in a traditional Asian family, showing emotions was never easy.
She didn’t always know how to express love with words or hugs, and I was quite a difficult child when I was younger too.

But deep down, I always knew she loved me.

Now that I’m older, I understand how much she sacrificed and how hard she tried to give me the best life she could.

Thank you, Mum ā¤ļø

Most of us are breathing wrong.
Not dramatically wrong.
Just shallow.
Chest-only.
The kind of breathing that keeps you going but never quite fills you up.
Our lymphatic system relies on movement and the rhythm of your breath to keep fluid moving through your body.
When you breathe shallow all day,
your lymph slows down.
And when lymph slows down,
you feel it.
Heaviness. Puffiness. Fatigue that won’t shift.
Deep belly breathing also calms your nervous system
shifting you out of that constant ā€œonā€ state and into real rest.
When your nervous system settles,
your whole body works better.
Including your lymph.
It’s one of the simplest things you can do. And it’s free.
Try this today
during your lunch break
or whenever you have a quiet moment,
place one hand on your belly and take slow, deep breaths.
Feel your belly rise.
Exhale fully.
Even five minutes makes a difference.

You don’t feel tired because you worked too hard.
You feel tired because your body has been frozen for hours.
Neck locked.
Shoulders carrying invisible weight. Legs that forgot how to move.
I see this every single day
The client who walks in looking like she’s holding the whole day together with sheer willpower.
And the one thing that changes everything?
Five minutes. That’s it.
No equipment.
No gym clothes.
No perfect moment.
Just breathing deep enough to remind your body it’s safe.
Just moving slow enough to let things flow again.
A client do this before her lunch break last week.
She came back and said: ā€œI didn’t realise how much I was holding.ā€
That’s what your body is waiting for.
Not more pushing.
Just permission to reset.
Try it tomorrow before lunch
and notice the moment your shoulders finally drop.
