Excuse the no headband but I ran out 🥵 I can guarantee I followed all other protocols 😊

Needling my skin is very different to how I perform it in salon. Ran out of headbands and it’s a lot trickier than it looks for certain angles 🤣 but rest assured I stuck to all other hygiene protocols.

I love and recommend needling in the cooler months as we tend to be in the sun a lot less.. why is that important? I want to preserve as much of the new collagen I’m stimulating. UV light degrades the new fragile collagen fibres. Controlled micro injuries to the skin stimulates a natural wound healing response. Activating fibroblasts/growth factors that produce collagen along with elastin. This builds over time (and in a series of treatments) a firmer, thicker skin and a reduction in fine lines.

At 53 I’m trying to slow down the fine lines that will eventually become deeper. It’s a lot easier to sustain a healthy skin than correcting and already damaged skin. I’m not trying to look 10 years younger but slowing down the speed and depth of the inevitable collagen loss.

This treatment can be performed on almost all skins. A thorough consultation must be performed before and certain active products will be prescribed before I touch your skin. Please don’t ever get needling without either of these. Cheaper is often not the end game here.

Everyone’s skin is different. How it responds each time is different. My skin is one that responds very quickly and my redness stays around a bit. The aim is not to create a blood bath but to trigger what the skin already knows what to do. Each person experiences are different.

If needling scares you. It’s really not that bad. I do however ease some clients in with nano needling which is a non invasive stimulation of the skin and is very painless.
