Let’s talk retention!

Firstly, the glue will not adhere to dirty lashes.
Whether it is natural oils, dirt, makeup, dead skin etc.
lashes must be clean and free of debris to get any type of adherence.

With all due respect, some of you just are not cleaning them in between appointments and it’s clear to see. Even if I were to attempt to clean them, some things just can’t be fixed with the amount of buildup that’s occurred and quite often I have no choice but to remove every lash as I go.
Debris in lashes will cause harmful bacteria and WILL result in long term lash damage. As seen in the pictures posted, the makeup, oils and dirt that coats the lashes will cause them to stick together, resulting in premature lash loss.
Lashes weighed down with oils, lose their curl. ( as also seen in pictures attached) this is not a product fault, it’s a hygiene issue.
Please get up close and personal
To your mirror and have a look at your lashes, top and bottom. They should not have mascara, eyeliner, foundation, concealer, eyeshadow on them. When they fall out, pick one up and have a look and see if it looks oily or different from when you first get them done.
You do not need to avoid wetting your lashes. Water won’t make them fall out. Cleaning them won’t make them fall out.

Next
how you brush your lashes matters!
Do not brush your lashes from the base of
Your lash line. They get positioned about 1mm away from the lash line when I place them. As they grow out, brushing from the base will cause the lash base to snag in the spoolie , ripping them out. Instead, brush from mid way.
How you cleanse them matters. If you put the lash shampoo on them and it immediately turns to water and doesn’t remain foamy , then they’re dirty and need to be washed twice.
They also need to be double rinsed to ensure you don’t leave any shampoo residue on them.

Don’t touch your lashes with your fingers. Only clean spoolies.
Do not pull, rub or tug on them. They are delicate!
Remember they are attached to one teensy tiny delicate natural lash. Be gentle!

Try not to sleep on your faces!
Invest in a silk pillowcase.

Lash adhesive hates heat and hates salt.
So tears, ocean and sweat are not our friends when it comes to lashes.
Neither are saunas and stupidly
Hot weather.

Below are some lashes from just the last few days.
As you can see, these are dirty with natural oils and makeup build up. The first pic was how I found it on the natural lash. Again, this is not a product fault. It’s gunk build up.
Please ensure you are doing your job to maintain clean, healthy lashes.
When clients have crappy retention, it’s me and my glue or my lash products that get the blame.
( please no one take offence. It’s not ALL clients. Majority take amazing care of your lashes.. simply education
