Just a little update from JVJ’s Barbershop. 👋

Another week down, and I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s been supporting the shop. Whether you’ve been coming in for years or you’ve only recently found me, I genuinely appreciate every single one of you.

Things are going really well, and I’m loving seeing the shop continue to grow week after week. It’s been great catching up with familiar faces and welcoming plenty of new ones through the door.

As always, thank you for trusting me with your hair. Your support means more than you probably realise, and I’m excited to keep building something special here in the Redlands.

This chair has given me more than a career, it gave me a purpose.

I was just a young teenager with a dream, chasing something I couldn’t quite explain. I didn’t know where the journey would take me, only that I loved the craft and believed that one day it could become something bigger.

Over the years, this chair has seen every version of me. It watched a nervous young barber become a confident man. It witnessed the long days, the setbacks, the self-doubt, the sacrifices, and the moments when giving up seemed easier than pushing forward.

But it also witnessed the victories. The relationships built, the trust earned, and the dream that slowly became reality.

Every person who has sat in this chair has left with a fresh haircut, but I’ve left every day with something too—a lesson, a conversation, a reminder of why I started.

Today, this chair represents far more than my profession. It represents resilience, discipline, growth, and the life I always hoped I could build.

It’s proof that if you stay committed to your craft, believe in yourself when no one else does, and keep showing up every single day, dreams eventually stop being dreams.

Sometimes, all it takes is one chair to change a life. Mine did.
