It was time to reintroduce myself so you know a little about who I am behind the scenes!
I am Amanda and I own La Dar in Morningside. I have a degree in Dermal Science and an absolute passion and obsession with face massage. I have been in the industry for well over 10 years and I love my job because I literally travel the world learning different face massage techniques that I then practice on your beautiful faces here in clinic!
I'm a mum to a very active 3 year old boy, who absolutely adores my furbaby Pierre - not so much a furbaby anymore (he's 12!). And they add so much joy and laughter to our little family. My husband Rami is Tunisian and the name La Dar was literally curated from his language.
As some of you may also know, I am a competitive salsa dancer! I have competed nationally and internationally for 20years 💃 Many years ago (in my very much younger days) I even represented Australia at the World Salsa Championships in Puerto Rico! 💫
Now Gardening...hmmmm im still very much learning here haha but I love food and cooking so this new hobby is very much aligned to the things I love (side note, I also have a Diploma in Nutrition) 😮
I hope to share more of myself here but in the meantime say hi below 👋 and if I havent met or connected with you yet I hope we do soon ❤️

Last year I travelled over 30hrs to Spain to learn Kobido from the World Face Massage Champion Josep Lupion
I havent spoken about it on here enough, but it was such an incredible and eye opening experience into the ancient world of Kobido face massage.
At La Dar our techniques in face massage are so different because they aren't taught here in Australia. It's what makes us unique and different. We never go and learn from youtube or tik tok and I never go and learn a style of face massage just because it is trending.
Every face is different which means every face massage is different and tailored to what you and your face needs.
This is just the start of our Kobido journey. I cannot wait to go back to learn more!
