KIA ORA! β¨
There are quite a few new faces around here so I thought I would reintroduce myself with 10 facts that you may not know about me βΊοΈ
1 - I have a very blended family, 1 teenager π , 3 Pre-teens and a baby who is already in the terrible twos π
2 - Our older kiddies are still in NZ with there parents/grandparents
3 - I am originally from Taranaki but decided to make the move to Australia last year so now we are based in Brisbane
4 - I LOVE to travel! I have been fortunate enough to work for airlines most of my adult life so have been able to take family to a couple of different destinations
5 - A lot of people donβt believe me when I say I am now in my dirty thirties!
6 - I may slightly have a stationary obsession π
7 - I am team iPhone but have a Samsung ππ
8 - I started shayillustrate in 2020 with no expectations or direction on where I wanted it to go. It was for a bit of fun and then I found myself as an artist and what I loved creating
9 - I have gone through so many different phases in my business, have burnt out so many times juggling too much. I am always thinking of how to create new products, commissions I have to do, website update, emails I have to answer etc. I still struggle to find a medium.
10 - I have gone through so many fad diets/exercise regimes/gyms and only just coming to love my body 30 years later

WE ARE COMING BACK!
Life update - the last 5 months have been so fulfilling! We have had so many wins as a family and as an individual I think I have become a lot more resilient and proud of the person I am.
We have now well and truly settled into Brisbane
Bubba is 1 and is at daycare now
I am working PT for Qantas
And we have big financial goals for this year too!
The only thing I felt I was missing was spreading positivity and love through this channel. Creating a community that feel connected to themselves, their kaupapa and that they have a place in the world. To know that you were, are and always will be enough for anybody that you come across and to create art that resonates with you.
I donβt know how it will look yet coming back and operating from Brisbane this time BUT big ideas are already in the works and I am starting to get excited about creating again!
