This weekend I swapped my makeup studio for home and hosted my Mother-in-law Sharon and her two gorgeous friends, Jenny & Anne for a private makeup workshop.
And honestly, what could be better…. an afternoon of makeup, drinks, cheese platter & lots of laughs!
We started with skin prep and how to correctly use brushes, then I showed them how to create a fresh, natural, glowy look then how to step that look up into soft glam look.
I loved watching them learn, try new things and realise that makeup doesn’t have to be complicated to make you feel amazing.
Three beautiful ladies, lots of laughs and plenty of new makeup tricks to take home!

My most used palette at Brisbane Fashion Festival!
The Issada Clay & Ember Palette was on repeat backstage… beautiful warm shades that worked perfectly across so many looks 🤎
Definitely a favourite!
Runway glam by Issada Cosmeceuticals.... the brief was soft, bronze effortless glam!
We also glammed some VIP guests + Olympian swimmers.
Everyone has been so gorgeous, lovely to chat to and amazing on the runway đź’‹

A bridal soft glam look I created a few years ago… still a favourite!
Glowing skin, softly defined eyes and a perfectly balanced n**e lip… so beautiful!
Not every client wants to be on social media and that is absolutely okay!
After a recent makeup lesson, I was reminded how important it is to make this really clear: you never have to be photographed or appear on my social media.
As part of my pre-makeup lesson questionnaire, I ask whether you’re comfortable with photos being taken and if you’re happy for me to share on my socials.
Some clients say yes, and some say no.
You might work in a profession where you can’t post publicly, you might simply prefer to keep your life private, or you might just not enjoy social media.
Whatever your reason, I completely respect it.
My lessons are about you feeling comfortable, confident and heard not about creating content for me. And this goes for event makeup too!
