🤫 The Massage That Gives You Goosebumps: Why Is Everyone Talking About ASMR?
Have you ever experienced a pleasant tingling sensation that starts at the back of your head and spreads like a wave down your neck, back, and arms?
⚡️ This is more than just relaxation. It is ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) — a phenomenon sometimes called a "massage for the brain."
I have combined a classic neck and shoulder massage with relaxing ASMR techniques:
💆🏻‍♀️ Head and Neck Massage.
Gentle stimulation of acupressure points helps relieve tension, reduce headaches, and improve blood circulation.
Light strokes and soft rustling sounds (such as gently running fingers through the hair) can create those pleasant "goosebumps" sensations.
🕊 Upper Back Massage.
This area (shoulders and shoulder blades) is where we often carry the stress and fatigue of the entire day.
Smooth, rhythmic movements gently work the muscles, helping the body release built-up tension.
What are the benefits of this session?
✨ Deeply calms the nervous system
✨ Reduces anxiety and stress levels
✨ Relieves muscle tension and spasms
✨ Helps combat insomnia
Give yourself a unique experience where every sound and every touch works towards your recovery and wellbeing.

BUILD YOUR ABS — AND BELLY FAT WILL DISAPPEAR!

Picture a familiar situation. You are unhappy with your belly and want a slimmer waist, so the marathon begins: 50 crunches in the morning, another 50 at night, planks, leg raises. Your abs are burning, your muscles are sore, your shirt is soaked. And it seems completely logical: “If I can feel the burn right here, then the fat right here must be burning too.”

A few weeks go by. Your abs really are stronger, the exercises feel easier, and you can tighten your stomach much better. But somehow the layer of fat on top never got the message that it was supposed to disappear.

This is the idea behind so-called spot reduction — losing fat from one specific area. We really want to believe that we can choose a part of the body and tell it: “Today, we are losing fat only here.”

Belly? Train your abs. Inner thighs? Train your legs. Arms? Do a hundred triceps exercises.

It would be incredibly convenient. But exercise primarily trains the muscles you are using. Reducing body fat is a different process. Research in which people trained one specific area generally does not show that fat preferentially disappears from directly above the working muscle.

For example, in one study, people performed abdominal exercises for six weeks. Their abdominal muscular endurance improved — but there was no significant reduction in abdominal subcutaneous fat.
So does that mean training your abs is pointless?
Of course not.

Strong abdominal muscles matter. They become stronger and more resilient, help stabilise and control your body, and can make your midsection look firmer. But if there is still a layer of body fat covering them, crunches alone do not guarantee that the fat will disappear specifically from your stomach.

And this is where marketing often makes a very convenient switch.
“This exercise removes lower belly fat.”
“These 5 moves burn love handles.”
“Do this every day and get a flat stomach.”
And I really want to ask:
Who exactly told the fat cells that today we are losing weight only within ten centimetres of the abdominal muscles?

Your body decides where it uses stored fat from and in what order different areas become leaner. One person may lose fat from the face first, another from the chest, another from the legs — while belly fat stubbornly stays until much later.

So the real process looks much less magical: overall energy expenditure, regular physical activity, strength training, nutrition and time.

And abdominal exercises should be used for what they are actually very good at:
TRAINING YOUR ABS.
Not promising belly fat a personalised eviction notice.

VA**NG CAN HARM MORE THAN JUST YOUR LUNGS.
Many people consider e-ci******es a more “harmless” alternative to regular ci******es.
But there is another risk associated with va**ng that is talked about much less often.

It’s not just flavored liquid.
Inside the device is a lithium-ion battery that heats the liquid and creates the aerosol you inhale.
And that battery can overheat, catch fire, or even explode.

These incidents are considered rare, but the consequences can be very serious: burns to the hands and face, injuries to the teeth and mouth, and skin damage. What makes it especially dangerous is that while you are using a v**e, the device is often only a few centimeters away from your face.

Possible causes include a damaged battery, overheating, improper charging, using an incompatible charger, or a defect in the device itself.
But even if a v**e never catches fire, that does not make it safe.

V**e aerosol can contain ni****ne, fine particles, metals, and other chemicals that can travel deep into the lungs. Va**ng is associated with airway irritation, coughing, shortness of breath, ni****ne addiction, and other health problems.

So there are actually two risks:
what you inhale — and the device you are holding right next to your face.
An e-cigarette may look modern, stylish, and high-tech.
But “electronic” does not mean “safe.”

We have heard this warning so many times that many people still believe it without question:
One crack — and your joints are already being damaged.
You crack your knuckles?
That’s it — arthritis is waiting for you.
But where is the evidence?
If cracking your knuckles really caused arthritis, it would have been clearly proven by now.
And yet, what we keep hearing is the same old phrase passed from childhood into adulthood — almost like a family legend.
The cracking sound is usually not caused by bones grinding against each other and wearing down. It is generally related to processes inside the joint, such as changes in pressure within the joint fluid.
So yes, there is a sound.
But no, that is not proof that the joint is being destroyed.
Yes, frequent aggressive cracking can be unpleasant.
Yes, some people hate the sound.
Yes, it may sometimes cause temporary discomfort.
Arthritis is a real medical condition — not a childhood scare story.
So the next time someone says:
“Stop cracking your knuckles or you’ll get arthritis,”
there is only one thing I want to ask:
Where is the evidence?
Do you still believe that knuckle cracking really causes arthritis?
Or is this just one of the most stubborn medical myths people keep repeating?

CAN A COPPER BRACELET TREAT ARTHRITIS?
Your wrist hurts.
Your fingers ache.
Your knee seems to react to every change in the weather.
And sooner or later, someone says:
“Get a copper bracelet. Copper is absorbed through the skin, reduces inflammation and helps your joints.”
Simple.
Cheap.
No medication.
Then, after wearing it for a while, a greenish mark appears on the skin underneath the bracelet.
And suddenly it looks like proof:
“See! The copper really is going into my body!”
But is it?
That green or dark mark on the skin is mainly caused by a chemical reaction between copper, sweat, salts and substances on the surface of your skin.
A coloured mark does not mean that copper has travelled through the skin, reached your joint and started treating inflammation.
And here comes the important question:
If copper bracelets really reduce arthritis pain and inflammation, what happens when they are tested against placebo?
Researchers have actually done this.
People with rheumatoid arthritis were given different bracelets and wrist straps without knowing exactly which one they were wearing.
Researchers assessed:
— pain;
— tender and swollen joints;
— inflammatory markers in the blood;
— physical function;
— disease activity;
— use of medication.
And what happened?
Copper bracelets showed no meaningful therapeutic benefit.
They did not significantly reduce pain, inflammation or rheumatoid arthritis activity compared with the control devices.
A similar study involving people with osteoarthritis also found no convincing improvement in pain, stiffness or physical function from copper bracelets.
So why do some people still say:
“But it helps me!”
This is where things get interesting.
Pain is not a light switch that stays at exactly the same level every day.
It naturally changes.
One day a joint may hurt badly.
A few days later it may feel much better.
Expectation can also influence how we experience symptoms.
If we strongly believe that something is going to help, we may genuinely feel better.
That is one reason treatments are compared with placebo in medical research.
Not because researchers think people are lying.
But because they need to know whether the treatment itself is responsible for the improvement.
Yes, our bodies genuinely need copper.
But that does not mean wearing copper around your wrist treats arthritis.
It would be like saying:
“Bones need calcium, so wearing a piece of calcium around your neck will make your bones stronger.”
Suddenly it doesn’t sound quite so convincing, does it?
Arthritis is not simply “a lack of copper in the wrist”.
And a bracelet certainly cannot replace proper diagnosis and treatment.
Just don’t turn jewellery into medicine.
And when it comes to pain, stiffness and muscle tension around the joints, I would put far more trust in appropriate movement, exercise and hands-on massage as additional ways to improve muscle comfort and mobility.
But massage does not cure arthritis either — especially when we are talking about inflammatory joint disease.

DO DARKER CUPPING MARKS MEAN MORE “TOXINS”?
After cupping, the back can look unusual: red, burgundy and sometimes almost purple circles remain on the skin.
And then the “colour diagnosis” begins.
The practitioner carefully examines the marks and says:
“You had a lot of toxins in this area. Look how dark that circle is! This lighter area was much cleaner.”
It sounds convincing — almost as though the cups have not only treated the skin but also performed a full-body health test.
But let’s think about it.
Which exact toxins were identified by the colour of the mark?
What are their names?
Did they come from the liver, blood, muscles or digestive system?
How much was removed?
And where are the laboratory results?
There are none.
A cup creates negative pressure and pulls the skin upwards. The suction expands superficial blood vessels, and some tiny vessels may become damaged. A small amount of blood can escape into the surrounding tissue, creating a red or purple bruise-like mark.
This is a local reaction of the skin and small blood vessels.
It is not a collection of “toxins leaving the body”.
During dry cupping, the skin remains closed. There is no pathway for substances to leave the body. The dark mark remains beneath the skin — it does not collect inside the cup or disappear from the body.
So why can one mark be pale while another is very dark?
The colour can be affected by the strength of the suction, how long the cup remains in place, the area being treated, the skin and the response of the small blood vessels.
Stronger suction or a longer treatment may produce a darker mark.
But a darker circle does not mean that the area contained more “dirt”, “stagnation” or toxins.
The colour of a cupping mark is not a blood test.
Cupping may be used as an additional method when working with tight or painful tissues. Some people report temporary pain relief, relaxation or easier movement after a session.
But possible temporary relief and the story about “toxins leaving the body” are two completely different things.
There is no need to give cupping powers it does not have.
Dark marks show that suction affected the skin and superficial blood vessels.
They do not reveal the condition of the liver.
They do not measure toxins.
And they do not prove that anything left the body.
So the next time you hear:
“The darker the mark, the more toxins we removed,”
ask one simple question:
“Which toxins exactly — and where are the laboratory results?”
Have you ever been told that dark cupping marks were toxins leaving your body?

A CANDLE IN YOUR EAR — IS THIS TREATMENT?

You lie down on your side.

A long, hollow candle is placed inside your ear. The top is lit, and the flame burns only a few centimetres away from your face, hair and eardrum.

We are told:

“The heat creates a vacuum. The candle draws out earwax, toxins and impurities.”

It sounds almost like an unusual medical procedure.

Then comes the most impressive part.

After the session, the candle is opened and a sticky brown substance is revealed:

“Look how much wax we removed from your ear!”

It certainly looks convincing.

But let’s ask one simple question:

How do we know that this substance actually came from the ear?

Was it tested in a laboratory?

Was it compared with your earwax?

Or are we simply being shown burnt material and melted residue from the candle itself?

Researchers tested the main claim behind ear candling.

They found that a burning ear candle does not create the negative pressure required to “pull” wax out of the ear canal.

In other words, there is no working vacuum inside the ear.

Even more concerning, experiments found that candle wax did not come out of the ear. In some cases, wax from the candle was deposited inside the ear canal.

So we are promised wax removal — but the procedure may actually add melted candle wax to the ear.

Ear candles have not been proven to clean the ears.

But the risks are very real:

— burns to the skin, hair or outer ear;
— hot candle wax entering the ear canal;
— further blockage of the ear;
— damage or perforation of the eardrum.

The FDA states that there is no validated scientific evidence supporting the claimed benefits of ear candles. It also warns that using an open flame close to the face and ear creates a serious risk of burns and ear damage.

Earwax is not simply dirt that needs to be regularly “pulled out”.

It protects the ear canal and usually moves out naturally. If your ear feels blocked, painful or your hearing has changed, the wax can be softened with appropriate products or removed safely by a healthcare professional.

But a burning candle inside the ear is not ear cleaning.

And the brown substance left inside a burnt candle is not proof that anything was “drawn out” of your ear.

Now question:

Would you allow someone to light a candle only a few centimetres away from your eardrum?

BLACK FOOT PAD ≠ TOXINS

In the evening, you stick light-coloured detox pads to the soles of your feet. In the morning, you remove them — and they have become dark, wet, sticky and unpleasant-looking.

The seller points to the pad and confidently says:

“Look how many toxins left your body in just one night!”

It certainly looks impressive. It seems as though the pad has literally pulled some kind of black dirt out of your body.

But let’s stop and ask a few simple questions.

Which toxins exactly came out?

Heavy metals? Chemicals? Waste products?

Where is the laboratory analysis of what is inside the pad? Where is the name and quantity of each substance? Where are the blood test results from before and after using it?

A dark colour alone is not proof that the body has been cleansed.

Many of these pads contain wood vinegar or bamboo vinegar. These ingredients become dark and sticky when they come into contact with ordinary moisture and warmth.

Our feet sweat during the night. The pad absorbs the moisture, its ingredients react with it — and by morning, we see an impressive black, sticky substance.

But that does not mean it came from our blood or internal organs.

The same type of pad can become dark when exposed to ordinary water. Does that mean water is full of “toxins” too?

Mayo Clinic states that there is no reliable scientific evidence that detox foot pads remove toxins from the body.

There was also a well-known case in the United States. The sellers of Kinoki foot pads claimed that their products removed toxins, heavy metals, chemicals and parasites. They also claimed that the pads helped with arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure and fatigue, and even supported weight loss.

The US Federal Trade Commission accused the sellers of making false and unsupported advertising claims. Following legal action, those particular sellers were banned from marketing and selling these products.

In other words, buyers were shown a dark, wet pad, while an ordinary reaction between its ingredients and moisture was presented as proof that the body had been “detoxed”.

The dark colour proves only that the pad became wet and changed.

It does not prove that toxins left the body.

Have you ever bought detox foot pads?

Did you believe that the black, sticky substance was toxins coming out through your feet?

BURNING SKIN ≠ BURNING FAT.
Picture the advertisement.
A beautiful jar.
Smooth skin.
Perfect legs.
And big promises:
“Breaks down fat.”
“Destroys cellulite.”
“Lose centimetres without exercise or dieting.”
You open the jar, apply the cream — and something really does happen.
The skin becomes red.
It feels hot.
You may notice tingling or even a strong burning sensation.
After a while, the skin may look smoother and slightly tighter.
And at that moment, it is very easy to think:
“The cream is working!”
And what has actually happened?
Have the fat cells really started melting under the skin?
Where did the fat go?
Did it come out through the pores?
Did it evaporate?
Did it stay on the towel?
Did it turn into heat?
Of course not!
The burning sensation simply means that the ingredients are affecting the skin and its receptors.
Warming ingredients can create heat and redness. Caffeine and some other ingredients may temporarily change the amount of fluid in the superficial tissues, making the skin look smoother for a short time.
“looking smoother” does not mean that the fat has disappeared.
The fat cells have not been destroyed.
The structure of the tissue has not been permanently changed.
The cellulite has not magically vanished.
What you are seeing is a temporary cosmetic effect.
Once you stop using the cream, the skin gradually returns to the way it looked before. If the cream really removed fat, the result would not disappear when the jar became empty.
Now let’s talk about what actually produces a visible result.
In my work, I see that the best results do not come from a “miracle” cream. They come from anti-cellulite programme and consistent work on the body.
Anti-cellulite massage means direct mechanical treatment of the tissues with the hands.
During the massage, I can feel every area, work through the tissues thoroughly and adjust the pressure according to what the body needs. A jar of cream cannot do that.
Anti-cellulite massage helps to work on problem areas, reduce puffiness, improve the condition of the tissues and make the skin look smoother and firmer.
And one massage is not enough.
A course of treatments is needed, and the result must be supported by regular physical activity and healthy eating.
REMEMBER:
ANTI-CELLULITE CREAM ALONE WILL NOT REMOVE CELLULITE.
HANDS-ON ANTI-CELLULITE MASSAGE
+ REGULAR EXERCISE
+ HEALTHY, BALANCED EATING
= REAL RESULTS
Only This is the combination that works!
You cannot exercise, lose weight and have regular massage while continuing to drink large amounts of sugary soft drinks and alcohol, smoke, and regularly eat instant noodles, takeaway meals, fast food and heavily processed foods — and still expect the best possible result.
Even with regular massage and exercise, an unhealthy lifestyle can slow down progress.
The skin may remain puffy, the tissues may feel loose, and the results of the anti-cellulite programme may be weaker and may not last as long.
Healthy eating is not an optional extra. It is an essential part of the programme.
Not cream instead of massage.
Not burning instead of proper tissue work.
Not advertising promises instead of discipline.
A cream can moisturise the skin.
It can create warmth.
It can temporarily make the skin look smoother.
The cream itself does not melt fat and does not remove cellulite.
The real work is done through hands-on anti-cellulite massage, regular exercise and healthy eating.
And there is no shortcut around it.
