💜 June is Lipoedema Awareness Month 💜 I’m sharing my story to help shine a light on this often misunderstood and misdiagnosed chronic condition.

Lipoedema is a painful fat disorder that mostly affects women, causing disproportionate fat accumulation, swelling, easy bruising, and mobility challenges. It’s not caused by lifestyle and it doesn’t respond to diet or exercise the way people think it should.

For years, I didn’t know what was wrong with my body—or why nothing seemed to help. Getting a diagnosis changed everything. Awareness can lead to earlier diagnosis, better treatment, and less shame.
