Consultation, communication and connection!
I have a saying that goes no matter how technically correct a haircut, colour or style is if you don’t communicate effectively and get on the same level as your client they will not be happy. Communication is 80% of what we do and 20% is skill and technique. At the end of the day if the person paying doesn’t like what you’ve done they’re not staying loyal.
All experiences with Only Jess come with open honest heartfelt communication and connection and some good old-fashioned skill and labour.

Keratin bonds vs K-tips…
Keratin bond installs are done strand by strand, this allows complete control over the result. Placement is mapped out for the individual to mimic natural density, hair fall and movement of the client’s hair.
K- tips are often confused for our keratin bonds, our keratin bonds are made from 100% synthesized keratin and are designed to mimic the behaviours of your natural hair unlike other options which rely on plastic, glue or mixed resin.

Leona lives across the ditch (New Zealand) so she rebooks her appointment every 6 months for a full day in the chair, this allows me to be able to do what ever is required to get her hair back how she likes it.

Leona’s hair story is long and complicated but in a nutshell Leona was sick of never being happy with her hair and no one taking responsibility for her hair needs.
The problem was Leona had one stylist and salon looking after her colour and cut needs and another applying her extensions. After a google search and a video consultation Leona had decided having the one Stylist to look after ALL HER HAIR NEEDS was what was required to ensure continuity and harmony in Leona hair.

Why I don’t work Saturdays after 24 years…
I made a conscious decision when starting my own brand that focusing on what worked for me and my family was more important, and don’t get me wrong this isn’t for everyone but this is what works for us. Some of yesterdays reasons why I don’t.
💋 having the time to actually get ready to go out, not just chucking on a dress at the salon still covered in the day that was
💋 going as a family to the hobbies that interest our child
💋 girls long lunches, HELL YAHHH
💋 dragging out the girls long lunch into colouring in with my vodka
💋 slower exercise with fresh air, nature and my puppy boi
💋 preparing a meal for my family
