Your knee has been taking the blame. But it might not be the one causing the problem. 🦵
If your knee pain keeps coming back - or hasn’t responded to treatment focused only on the knee - your hip could be part of the story. The two joints share load constantly, and when one isn’t doing its job, the other one tends to feel it.
Swipe through to understand the connection and what signs suggest your hip might be involved.

💬 Comment KNEE or HIP - which one gives you more grief?

One ankle passes every test. The other one... has some explaining to do…🦶
Try it yourself - stand on one leg, cross your arms, and see how long you last. Then swap sides. Most people are surprised by how different each ankle feels.
If one side consistently wobbles, gives way, or just doesn’t feel as trustworthy, that’s often not just a strength issue - it’s a stability and control issue. And it’s really common after a previous ankle sprain.
💬 Comment LEFT, RIGHT or SAME - which ankle do you trust more?

If your ankle keeps rolling, it’s probably not just bad luck. 🦶
Once you’ve sprained an ankle, the ligaments, muscles, and balance systems that support it can take longer to recover than the pain does. Which means a lot of people feel fine, go back to sport, and roll it again.
That cycle is really common - and really preventable.

Receptionists don’t get enough credit. 🏆
Ours handle phone calls, questions, last-minute changes, and - apparently - whatever we decide to hand them mid-conversation 😉
They’re often the first voice you hear and the reason you feel at ease before you even walk through the door. And they do it all without missing a beat.
Happy Friday from our incredible front desk team at Brunswick Chiro. They hold this place together and we love them! 🙌
We’ve made an arrest. 🚨
The calves have been taken in for questioning. Charges: shin splints. Again.
But here’s the thing... after a thorough investigation, turns out they’re not the only ones responsible.
Training load, footwear, running mechanics, recovery - they all had a hand in it. The calves were just the ones who got caught.
MTSS (aka shin splints) is rarely one thing. And treating it like it is? That’s how runners end up back at square one.

That shin pain you’ve been running through? It might not be shin splints.
Both shin splints and stress fractures cause lower leg pain - but they’re different injuries that need different approaches. Knowing which one you’re dealing with could be the difference between a quick recovery and a much longer one.
Swipe through to understand the key differences, what causes them, and when it’s worth getting assessed. 👉
While Dr. Anna is away on holidays in Ireland, we’ve found a pretty convincing replacement 🤔😉
Meet... also Anna. Totally the same person. No questions, please.
We’ll have Anna back on October 20. Meanwhile, Taylah’s holding down the fort (and her identity) beautifully. 🫶

She traded Queensland sunshine for Melbourne winters, brought her love of sports injuries south with her, and has been an absolute good sport about everything we’ve thrown at her since - including this. 😄
Get to know the real Dr. Taylah in today’s video - and if you’ve been meaning to book in, she’d love to meet you properly. 🙌

Less pain doesn’t always mean your sciatica has settled. Sometimes it’s just being quiet.
Sciatica recovery rarely follows a straight line - symptoms can ease off, flare up, and shift around throughout the process. That doesn’t mean you’re back to square one.
The real signs of progress are often in what you can do, not just how you feel. Walking easier, getting through the day with fewer positional changes, moving with more confidence - these things matter.
Swipe through to know what to look for, what influences recovery, and when it’s worth getting things checked out.
