Sometimes the best thing we can do at a CO2 consult is say, "Let's not book you in just yet."
If your skin barrier is struggling, whether it's from over-exfoliating, strong actives, a recent sunburn or just a stressed-out skin season, it's not the ideal starting point for a laser treatment. So we spend time getting it back on track first.
Barrier support isn't complicated. It's mostly about stripping your routine back to the essentials and being consistent for a few weeks. We'll build that routine with you and check in on how your skin is responding before we set a treatment date.
It might feel like a delay, but it's part of doing this properly. đ¤
Not sure how your barrier is going? Ask us at your next visit.
CO2 laser treatment is a medical procedure with risks and recovery time. A consultation with a qualified practitioner is required to see whether it is suitable for you.

Assess. Prepare. Treat in a series. Maintain. Thatâs the shape of every plan we build, and itâs why we talk about plans instead of single appointments.

If youâve had a treatment once and felt let down, youâre not alone. Most of the time the treatment didnât fail, the plan around it was missing.
Has this happened to you? Tell us below. đ
Right now, life can feel like a lot. đ
Global uncertainty, rising living costs and constant change can leave many of us feeling overwhelmed and disconnected.
But connection matters. When we come together, support one another and make time for meaningful conversations, we create a stronger sense of belonging.
This October, Mental Health Australiaâs theme for Mental Health Month 2026 is âTogether We Thrive.â đż
Itâs a reminder that whether at home, at work or in our community, even the smallest moments of connection can make a difference.
Check in with someone. Start a conversation. Make time for each other.
Because together, we thrive. đ

Thereâs nothing wrong with a one-off skin treatment. But maintaining your skin and changing it are two different things.
We regularly meet clients disappointed by treatments that didnât deliver what they expected.
Often, the problem isnât the treatment. Itâs the lack of education around what one session can realistically achieve.
At Medwell, we donât hold back. We explain whatâs possible, what isnât, and when a longer-term plan makes sense.
Because informed decisions start with honest expectations.
So what do you drive?
One treatment can be a useful start, but pigment, texture and fine lines often need a plan that works over months.
That plan may include preparation, suitable treatments and ongoing skin care, tailored to your skin and how it responds.
Whatâs the one skin concern youâve tried to fix in one go?

Your COâ appointment might be weeks or months away. The conversation about your skin starts now.
At your consultation, we want to know what youâre using at home, how your skin feels and whether anything is leaving it dry, irritated or uncomfortable.
Yes, even that serum you bought at midnight because someone on Instagram swore by it. đ
That helps us build your preparation plan around your skin, rather than hand everyone the same routine.
Sometimes, the advice is to simplify. Sometimes, itâs to give your skin more time before treatment. And if we recommend changing your routine, we want you to understand why.
Youâre investing time, money and trust in this process. Your care before and after deserves just as much attention as the appointment itself.
If something in your prep plan isnât working for you, tell us. We can work through it together. đ¤
Georgia would like to apologise to everyone sheâs ever told, âItâs just a little sting.â đ
With Rochelle treating and Georgia in the chair, there was maybe just a little more sympathy for everyone on the other side.
Sheâs sorry for the discomfort sheâs caused⌠and would like to apologise in advance for your next appointment. đ¤Ł
Same Georgia. Slightly more empathy.
