I wanted to personally share some important news with you all.

After nearly 10 wonderful years of building this business and being part of your lives, I have made the decision to sell the salon. This has not been an easy decision, but it is the right step forward for me both personally and professionally.

What I want to reassure you is this — nothing is changing when it comes to your appointments with me. I will still be right here in the same location, continuing to look after you, just as I always have. I’ll now be working independently, renting a chair within the salon.

You will still receive the same service, the same care, and the same familiar face you’ve trusted for so many years. Your loyalty, support, and friendships mean the absolute world to me, and I’m so grateful to have had you on this journey.

The salon itself will be in great hands, and I’m confident you’ll continue to feel comfortable and welcomed in the space.

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’m always here.

After 25 years of hairdressing, I can honestly say I thought I had seen just about everything. But sometimes in this industry, even when someone thinks they’re doing the right thing, it doesn’t always turn out that way.

This photo is from a friend’s daughter who has now become a client of mine. What started as a hair appointment unfortunately resulted in a third-degree chemical burn to her scalp, which has since required multiple surgeries and skin grafts.

Seeing this was a real reminder of how important proper training, experience, and product knowledge are in hairdressing.

Hairdressing isn’t just about making hair look nice — it’s about understanding scalp health, chemistry, and how different products and techniques react on every individual person.

There are many amazing, talented hairdressers out there, but there are also inexperienced people attempting services without the right knowledge or care. Home hairdressing or unqualified work can sometimes lead to devastating outcomes like this.

This post isn’t about blaming anyone — it’s about awareness. Please be careful with who you trust with your hair and scalp. Your hairdresser should always prioritise your safety, comfort, and hair health above everything else.

After years in this industry, I’ve never personally come across something this severe — and it’s a reminder for all of us just how serious our work can be.

Your hair = and your scalp = deserve professional care.

From the 1st of January my prices have to increase due to inflation on everything...
I have not put my prices up for a long time but now I have no choice but to put them up...
I will be posting the price list often and when you do book in I will send you one too....
I hope you all understand why I have to do this...

Hair Family...

As most of you know im currently off recovering from my operation...
Little bad news my first day back to work will be the 20th of October....
Good news is that ill be working around the clock to make everyone's hair feel loved again...
More GOOD NEWS my books are now open for CHRISTMAS....so fire away your appointment slot you need and ill pop it in for you....
Don't stress no one will miss out you all know ill be there to midnight most nights....
I again apologise sincerely about my unexpected long recovery journey...but in no time ill be back at what I love doing ...

Update 💛

Firstly, I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s supported me through this challenging little chapter. From the flowers, the treats, the thoughtful cards, and the delicious meals,my goodness,my hair family and my beautiful friends, thank you, thank you, thank you. I’m beyond grateful.

I feel incredibly lucky that we caught this melanoma early, and I want to use this moment to raise awareness wherever I can.

During my hospital stay after surgery, I was placed in the haematology ward, a space where patients receive chemo, radiation, and other intense treatments. I shared a room with three men, all undergoing chemotherapy. Did I mind? Not at all. They were unwell, and it really put things into perspective for me. What I’m going through is tough, but theirs is monumental. It made me realise just how fortunate I am.

One older gentleman called out and asked if I had two minutes to chat. I said, “Of course.” That small moment brought a smile to his face, and it reminded me how powerful even a few minutes of kindness can be.

So I’m sharing this for two reasons:

Please get your skin checked regularly. Early detection truly makes all the difference. If I hadn’t acted when I did, who knows what my future might have looked like.

Take a moment to look around. There are so many people going through battles far greater than ours. Sometimes, all they need is a little love, a little support, or just two minutes of your time.

To my beautiful clients,

I wanted to share something personal with you—not to alarm, but to raise awareness and encourage you to take a moment for your own wellbeing.

Recently, I had a melanoma detected. Thankfully, it was caught early—stage 0—and for that, I’m incredibly grateful. I almost didn’t get it checked, but a shift in my life nudged me to finally book that appointment. Otherwise, I might have kept putting it off.

I’m sharing this as a gentle reminder: get your skin checked. Even if it seems minor, even if life feels too busy—please, prioritise it. It could make all the difference.

In the coming months, I’ll be having surgery to remove it, so just keep an eye out for any updates or changes to appointments as I navigate that.

Awareness truly is everything. I was lucky—and I want you to be, too.
