Girl Talk Nail Salon
We at Girl Talk are about service and genuine care. We have been in the business of nails since 1988. Some of our clients have been with us since then.
How lucky I was to have had Cheryl Mc Glynne as my trainer so many years ago.
She created a love in me for the Nail Industry and continue to coach me to become a Nail Technician Trainer.
I will never forget her and what she did for me.
I can only dream that my past students have 1/2 the admiration for me.
This industry (Nails Technology) is a fascinating industry for so many reasons.
It can take you on a fascinating journey as it has for me.
If you have ever had a tiny thought of learning the craft of Nail Technology please call into our salon and training facility and see our training school and have all your questions answered.
I feel so blessed that I grabbed the opportunity to learn this craft and to pass on my knowledge.
Please call in and have a look of our training school upstairs at Girl Talk at Clock Corner Carseldine,
right beside the Carseldine Train Station.
Don’t think for one minute that you are not smart enough to learn this craf.
This is our job to change these doubts you may have.
My career has been over the 30 years now but it has flown and has been so much fun.
Just maybe this could be your perfect career also.
Come in and have a chat. We do not pressure anybody to become a student because it’s l always your decision and that’s how it should be.
Maybe we will see YOU soon. ❤️
To our lovely clients,
Thank you for putting your trust in our professional nail services that we provide.
Good nail products are not cheap and we use the safest and best products available. Our clients are first and foremost in our pursuit of quality and safety in nail products.
Safe nail products come at a price but cost cutting and using cheap and dangerous products is not what Girl Talk is about.
If you want quality and safe nail products and not cheap dental acrylic ( As used in shopping centre salons)
( Note, dental acrylic is safe for the purposes it is used for, false teeth)
It does not come in contact with your mouth until it is cured.
Please note the shopping centre salons use the cheapest acrylic available.
These cheap and nasty acrylic products can and do cause permanent allergies and deformed nail plates.
Thank you to all you beautiful clients that have been putting their trust in
Girl Talk Nails, some for many, many years.
I love this industry and l can tell you that l know a lot of nail techs that can no longer work because of product allergies, they can’t even walk into a nail salon without serious reactions.
Don’t believe that all salons and products are safe because they are NOT.
We at Girl Talk promise you that your health and the health of your nails is first and foremost in our thoughts, products and techniques.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, please pass it on to any friends that may be risking their health and the health of their nails by attending non standard salons.
Thanks.
Nancy Rosewall, Girl Talk Nails, Carseldine
Recently I had a call from a client that had decided to go to a shopping centre, non Australian salon because she thought we were a bit expensive.
I believe you would know what salons I’m talking about.
She asked if I would have time to see her.
My instant thought was to say ‘sorry, too busy’ but the inner me said book her in.
I was in total shock and could hardly find the words to say to her.
I’m cranky I didn’t take photos.
Every finger was swollen and red and some cuticles even had puss oozing out of the cuticles.
No way was I going to touch them.
I advised her to go immediately to a doctor.
She contacted me a few days later and thanking me for my advice and insisting she see a doctor.
Her doctor said she was lucky she didn’t loose fingers.
The infection was extremely dangerous.
The morale of this incident is, choose carefully.
Australian salons as a whole are staffed by trained technicians that are aware of the importance of health and safety issues and client care.
Just because you can walk in to these salons without an appointment isn’t a good reason to go to these salons.
Support Australian salons that are working hard to keep you safe, especially now.
What’s on my mind?
Well it’s the invisible clients, the clients that were as regular as clockwork come hail or high water that are now missing in action.
I have said this before and no doubt will repeat myself again in the near future.
We can not do anything more to insure your safety.
We are are taking every possible safety precautions to ensure YOUR safety.
I am fully vaccinated as is my husband.
Clients are in encouraged to wear masks for extra protection.
The very sad thing is that if this COVID keeps people away from going about their normal routines many of your business that you have patronised will disappear.
Our business is feeling the pain, if we don’t regain our clients that have vanished we also may vanish.
Life as we once knew it has gone forever. We now have to live with COVID,
we NEED to be vaccinated.
It’s the same as having your yearly flu shot.
People please STOP listening to the ratbags preaching gloom and doom about the vaccines.
If you want advice about the Vacation, for goodness ask your GP.
I cannot believe that people out there are happy to risk their’s and others safety and lives because they have listened to some ratbag out there who has no idea what they are talking about.
Like I said ASK your GP.
I know I have said this more than once but I love my job as a nail technician.
I also love my job of training people to become nail technicians.
I can’t think of anything I dislike about this chosen career.
30 plus years now and I’m still fascinated about the whole process of nails.
I love my devoted nail clients and they warm my heart ❤️ every time they attend their appointments.
I have been very privileged to have the loyal clients that have traveled with me on my nail journey.
Thank you beautiful ladies and the occasional males, you know who you are.
I love each and every one of you.
Im not done yet, I feel I still have more to do and pass on to new techs. I also want to pass the art and love of nails on to the new nail tech generation.
I will be forever grateful to my amazing mentor Cheryl Mc Glynne for giving me the training and passion for this industry. ❤️ I know you are taking a well deserved rest up there.
This is a beautiful, exciting industry and I love it.
You may have heard the bad news that we will be in lock down for another day.
So Saturday clients if you can will be moved to Monday the 5th. If this won’t be possible because of your work commitments maybe we can work around it somehow, like an early evening appointment.
We are so sorry that we have to do this but working during lock down can result in a huge fine.
As you know we take all precautions now to keep our clients safe.
John will be heading into the salon this morning to contact everyone he can.
Stay safe lovelies ❤️❤️
Busy day today, lucky me all lovely clients, one brand new one.
Love my job. I have never had one tiny regret about becoming a Nail Technician. A wonderful career spanning many, many years.
Missed our crazy lovely Leisha.
Hope you had a relaxing time at home and enjoyed some quality time with your mum.
I am now sitting with my feet up and sipping a nice
cold white wine and dear hubby is putting dinner together, bless his heart ❤️
Enjoy your long weekend 😘

2 of our lovely regulars with nails that are sooo grown out. Well done girls.
Sign of a darn good acrylic product and prep products.
All Nail Solutions products and Perfect Nails gel polish. Amazing
This has got to be the worst year for my nail business ever. I hope we can ride it out and survive.
So many of my regulars are Covid scared and cancelling appointments.
I can’t stress more strongly that we are doing EVERYTHING to keep YOU safe.
You would be more likely to be exposed to the virus in your supermarkets than my Salon.
If you have been looking for an excuse to stop having your nails done I guess this is a convenient good one.
I’m really sad that you have left us here at Girl Talk. Having said that you will be sadly missed and would always be welcomed back with opened arms.
Thank you to the amazing clients that trust us to keep them safe and turn up for their appointments.
I wonder what excuse some may use once they have had the Covid vaccine.🤔
