Here’s what nobody tells you…

From our mid thirties onwards our face begins to change in ways that have nothing to do with how well we look after ourselves. It’s biology, and it happens to everyone.

This is what’s actually going on:

We lose volume. Fat pads in the face that kept everything lifted and full start to thin and shift downward. Cheeks hollow. The under eye area deepens. Jawline softens.

We lose collagen. From around 25 we lose approximately 1% of our collagen every year. By our 40s that adds up, skin becomes thinner, less firm, less bouncy.

Cell turnover slows down. When we’re young our skin renews itself every 28 days. In our 40s that can stretch to 45-60 days. Dead skin sits on the surface longer, making everything look dull and flat.

The result? A face that looks worn down even when you feel fine.

This is not about vanity. It’s about understanding what your skin actually needs and giving it that.
